I have used H&R Block in Wytheville, VA since 2004. Generally because I wanted a fast return and wanted someone else to do it for me. After finding out how easy it is to do on turbo tax myself I decided this year to do them on my own. In order to do so I need my tax return information from last year. So I went to H&R block where they said it was a $35 fee to print them for me. When asked if they could just email them they said no. After returning home they called my fiance' (I have no idea how they got her number and why they didn't call me) and told her I could get them online for free. I tried to do so with no luck because I could not identify myself. The questions asked had absolutely no relevance to me at all. So I finally broke down and had them do my taxes again this year. They charged me close to 25% of my total return and made me pay other fee's that I shouldn't have had to pay adding up to 35% of my total return. I asked about the tax advance promotion which she was very vague about and gave me hardly any information about after prying and prying I got her to tell me minimal information and " I would know something within 24 hours." I'm writing this review over 72 hours later still knowing nothing. On top of all of this. I had a 9 o'clock appointment. They got me in by 9:40 and during my visit I was told someone was actually in front of me and I had to go back to the lobby which I refused after already waiting behind 40 minutes of people that had no appointments. To top it all off they were all very rude and disrespectful. I will never be returning to H&R block again.
