Its a very cozy place with a cute little lake. We met up with our friends, who were staying at the hotel, for supper. Service was very warm and welcoming upon arrival through lobby. The restaurant was decently priced for comfort foods. There were a bunch of weddings happening that night so a lot of people walking around going in and out to smoke outside the main entrance.

Went there for a wedding the reception room was good with a nice view. But I have to say the hotel needs a serious refresh. I was not impressed by the food either and our room had coffee stain on one wall and the bath was also dusty ...

Reception room was ok, service was slow and they often forgot we ordered something. We had to ask for everything constantly. A person in our group is allergic to lactose and one of the staff employees argued that there wasn't any milk products in the cheese gratin.. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and courteous.

The Chanticler still retains much of its charm from years past. The hotel rooms although "rustic" still process all basic amenities needed for a wonderful stay. I chose to have breakfast as part of my vacation package and was not disappointed with the quality and presentation of the meal. The waiter was also wonderful! The venue for breakfast could have been more intimate. The large ball room was too open and breakfast in a smaller, "warmer" setting would have been perfect. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and the use of the beach and lake were not to be enjoyed during my stay. I chose the Chanticler as my base for day trips to Montreal, Quebec City, and Mt. Tremblant. I was not disappointed .

STAY AWAY! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOOK A ROOM HERE. MY ANNIVERSARY WITH MY BOYFRIEND GOT DESTROYED! I do not want anyone to go through what i did. Please read my experience down below: 1) I went to this hotel because of a promo package they had. It was called the lovebird package. It was for my boyfriend and i's anniversary. They said it would be a ROMANTIC and MAGICAL EXPERIENCE.(written on their website.) When we got there, we were excited to get our room and finally have our romantic getaway. However, our VIEW FROM OUR ROOM was a PARKING LOT. How magical is that- NOT... it would have been nice to have been advised our view from our room was a PARKING LOT. Also it would have been nice to not have a family with 2 CHILDREN AND 1 BABY NEXT DOOR. How on earth are we going to be "lovebirds" with kids jumping, laughing and being roudy and waking us up early omin the morning. They should put families in one area, couples in another. 2) They have a restaurant called Namos and we made a reservation at 6 pm because we had something at 9pm. It was a table hote meal that came with our package. So we ordered... and waited... and waited... and waited... i went to go ask our waiter about our meal and he said to me "well, everybody came at the same time. Your order should be coming"( our waiter honestly looked like he didn't care ).... i looked around me and everybody else still didn't have their meals either. so we waited and waited again... we couldn't leave anymore because we had something at 9. I finally went to the front desk to complain and talked to the manager and only then we got our salad at 6:50. Then our appetizer came after the salad. HOWEVER, we had to wait another 20 minutes to get our main meal. By then, we couldn't have the dessert that was part of the package i paid for because we had a show at 9pm. 3) AFTER DESTROYING OUR ANNIVERSARY, we were late for our 9pm show that has already been paid. So, the next day we had breakfast as a part of our package however i will never go back to namos resto again so i asked the front desk if i could get my money back from the breakfast coupons which was about 25 each and he said he will give it back to me since i didn't use it. I also asked if i could get some of my money back from the restaurant that night because IT'S FRAUD to say you'll OFFER A SERVICE AND NOT ACTUALLY DELIVER. There was NOTHING MAGICAL OR ROMANTIC about my experience. They destroyed my anniversary weekend and the food was overcooked! The front desk guy said he'll try to do something about it and that he will email me but, in the end he didnt really do anything because he only reimbursed me for the cost of the breakfast THAT WE DID NOT EVEN REALLY USE BECAUSE I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO EAT THERE. So yeah, my entire weekend was the worst experience of my life. It was supposed to be a romantic and stress free and ended up just giving me a head ache and made me angry.
