My boyfriend took me here to eat for the first time and we went back like every week! its so good and the service is great! i even tell my friends and family to come here .

This was a lot of fun due to being with my family, plus the woman who cooked our food was quite comical, too...but, the food really wasn't all that great. We had the beef, the shrimp and the pork belly. 
I really liked the condiments the best! They were all unusual and very tasty and really added to the protein!

One of the best tasting and most authentic korean restauraunts in the Atlanta area! Everything we ordered from the bibimbap to the LA kalbi was amazing. Reminds me of homecooked korean meals

One word sums up my experience at Hae Woon Dae, DISAPPOINTING. First, the portions were very small for $30 per plate.  We ordered 4 for three guys.  Bought three bottles of sojoo (korean wine) and after spending $165 dollars, all three of us were still hungry. The banchan( side dishes) was pathetic.  We had kimchee, radish kimchee, bean sprouts and pickled cucumber.  I get more banchan at a korean food court than this place offers up.  The most disturbing part of our experience was the clear and unmistakable air of racism. I'm of korean descent and i brought along two of my collegues from work who have never eaten korean BBQ.  What a mistake, my co workers are black and i speak korean akin to that of a 3 year old.  The manner in which the server spoke to us reminded me of what it must have felt like for blacks during the 1950's in the south.  Absolutely shameful.  I felt so embarrassed for my co-workers...  What made me think this?  The way in which the servers spoke to us versus the white and other korean customers.  My heart almost broke in two.

I come here when the craving for authentic Korean BBQ hits. It's old inside, a little warm, and it's not cheap, but the food is delicious! They use real charcoal, and have the best banchan (side dishes). It's not for people who expect egg rolls and lo mein. This place is for people who want real charcoal, authentic Korean food, and no annoying frills. Try the LA Galbi, much more bang for the buck than Bulgogi.
