Went to enjoy THE Christmas Lights and Music. Free Of Charge. Nicely done. Too many Canadian Geese & Ducks thou. The city should look into monitoring the amount of fowl using appropriate game management or wildlife groups. But very enjoyable to walk through with family and friends. CHRISTMAS Music and Lights are very nice for a small town park.
Great park to enjoy a nice walk in. Plenty of variety of plants and trees to explore. They have a large water feature that homes many carp and ducks that can be fed for entertainment. Is a nice area to bring friends and family to enjoy life.
I love the inclusivity at this location with equipment for ALL. Between the walkways, gardens, pond, wildlife, bathrooms -- we are SO glad we stopped on an 11hr road trip so our kids could play/stretch it out here, it was worth being a bit off the drive. Wish more of our NC parks looked like this one!! Loved all the shelters and grilling sites spread out as well.
Gorgeous park! Nice walking trails, lots of ducks and water features. The art museum in the park is free and definitely worth a visit, too.
I just love our city park. The ducks, geese, and swan's are fun to feed. It can be very peaceful when there aren't a lot of people there. Sometimes I take peanuts to feed the many squirrels that call the park home. It's a great place for a day with the family. A little touch of nature. Visit the park and experience it for yourself. Please don't feed the ducks bread. It's not good for them.
Large pond, several playgrounds, ducks to watch, and feed and even large carp. There is duck and fish food sold at the concession building along with snacks and drinks. Several pavilions and picnic areas, a large stage for concerts, plays, etc. There is an Art museum as well as the Hager House beside the large pond. Several parking lost at each end of the park and street parking along the length. Very great location with beautiful scenery for photos of many different kinds including great opportunities for nature photographs also. As of Jan 2023 the park asks patrons to vacate at dark. Park is clean for the most part and park staff are ever present.
A beautiful park with a nice fountain and nice free museum. Its nice to walk around and enjoy the geese and fish swimming in the big pond. They have benches and table to seat on or bring some food enjoy with your family. They also have a playground that kids would love to play and run around. Its beautiful here to unwind from busy work and take a walk and breath and enjoy the beauty of nature.
A beautiful Maryland park. It is full of outdoor fun, including walking trails, playgrounds, picnic tables, benches, shady areas, lush with trees, a variety of waterfowl, fish, ponds, lakes, and more. The Fine Arts Museum and outdoor sculptures, all make this park an exceptional, A+ adventure/day trip.
Easy wal, well marked and paved. The stonework and artwork around the park make it worthwhile. The Hager House is at one corner of the park and also worth seeing n
Reliable Park, Quite, Peaceful & Well Maintain. Great for Exercises with Slight Incline & Declines. Connected to the Hub City Toe Path.
