After an early appointment we found Cluck2Go by chance! So glad we stopped in because this hai nan chicken is wonderful! We were loyal Savoy Kitchen diners for a long long time but after having Cluck2Go, I had to break things off with Savoy! Although the meal comes on a paper plate, they give you a good serving of chicken and rice. We had the original hai nan chicken as well as the fried hai nan chicken. Both were delicious! The appetizer cucumbers was plentiful but was missing a bit of flavor. The fried chicken wings were good but the star of this place was hai nan chicken!
First time there with friends. New favorite place in the city. The ultimate comfort food, especially with the chicken broth. The most tender chicken I've ever had combined with delicious pickled veggies and chicken rice the rice! was flavorful and perfectly cooked Amazing and will be coming back Parking: There's a lot behind the back with about ~12 spots
We ordered the Combo B for takeout. We've only had Hainan Chicken Rice a couple of times. That said, this combo was the perfect comfort food to share with our friends. Super tender and juicy chicken with awesome chicken rice. The sides and sauces are brilliant. Every component works together in harmony. If you try it I'm certain that you will experience food joy.
I'm thrilled to have a Cluck2Go nearby; it's hands down one of my favorite Hainan Chicken spots! I've had the pleasure of trying both the dark and white meat, and my recommendation is to go for the dark meat. The chicken is completely deboned, and the rice is cooked with chicken broth! Plus, they serve it with pickled veggies and a side of chicken broth, making it a real bang for your buck. Sure, it's not the fanciest joint and a tad small, but honestly, the real draw here is the scrumptious Hainan chicken—that's what brings people in! Service is great, and the convenience of parking all around the block is definitely a plus. No complaints here!
Was in Singapore for a while. Developed a chicken rice habit. Finding Hainese Chicken rice that’s good is actually quite hard in the US. This was closest I’ve had yet. Very very good. The garlic peanuts are awesome too.
Definitely my favorite Hainan chicken rice location in the 626! Chicken is perfectly cooked! Pickled veggies are a hit. Perfect amount of sour to them. Rice is super fragrant. Soup that it comes with you can tell has that bone stock type of taste to it. Also this place cooks on savoy. Anyone that says savoy has the best chicken rice has not gone out of their top 10 yelp restaurant phase.
The Hainan Chicken and it's accompanying sauces are just so good. It's so simple but so good. The chicken is tender, the broth is flavorful, the pickles are fresh, and the sauces sing. The staff was really nice and filled up our water often. The vibe is nothing to write home about as it's all about the food here.Food: 5/5
Ginormous portion! I mean, compared to other Hainan chicken places in the 626, they def gave a lot more! Speaking of the chicken, it was so tender and succulent. Both green and orange sauces were good, they were not 100% the traditional ones, but overall tasty. Chicken flavored rice was flavorful too, but I just wish they could give us the heated soy sauce for rice. I feel like without that, it was something missing. All in all, a good place for Hainan chicken. I recommend this place.
A little pricey for what you get. Dude at the cashier is not friendly what so ever. After I paid for my to go order, the receipt printed out and he was standing there waiting for me to add a tip. Personally, if you want a tip, be polite and friendly. And I believe tips should be given if the service is great or if someone eats in and they have to clean up after them. Not just because.. again, I would have tipped if he was polite even though I’m taking it to go Parking: Not much to talk about
Takeout on a rainy day. We ordered combo A at the restaurant and waited several minutes only. Food: Chicken soup is clear and especially delish on a cold rainy day. Chicken and sources go really well! Pickles are good too. We all enjoy the peanuts and cucumber. The rice is a large portion and flavorful. Price: Reasonable Overall recommend!
