I use to have a great deal of respect for the business known as Hair by Karen, going there once every month for the past year with a client from my company. But I just recently had a very unpleasant encounter with Karen last month. I had a very busy month of April and some how accidentally forgot I had a hair appointment with Hair by Karen. Once I noticed the very next day, I called to reschedule the appointment. She was rude and very obnoxious about the fact that I didn't call ahead of time to cancel the appointment. I tried to explain to her that I would have called if I couldn't make it but that wasn't the case, that I had actually forgot. She continued to have an attitude and told me that he will be charged a 10$ fee for not calling ahead of time to cancel. Of course she did make another appointment with me for the following week, because she obviously needs the money and besides anyone who charges a 10$ fee for not showing up for a hair appointment clearly needs the money. If it were up to me, I would not have even gone back there, because that is a complete rip off. However my client who I take there is mandated by his parents to go to this particular place for a hair cut, so I have no choice. She just basically stole 10 extra bucks from a disable guy because she can do so. I wonder what the next extra charge will be for ..10$ for showing up late. So instead of paying the normal 15$ for his hair cut, he had to pay 25$. (All she did was take hair of the top) WoW.
