The owner is a very nice lady from Greece. She was the top hairdresser in the barbershop in Newport mall. We knew her since then. And she told us that she wanted to open her own barbershop. It's really a nice surprise to see that her dream come true!

Black people obviously come second at this salon. Today I called and made a appointment for my daughter to get a wash and blow out. The advertisment on the salon says wash and blow $20 and I mentioned that deal to her when I scheduled a appointment. I guess she could tell by my voice I was African American and she asked me does my child have curly hair and I said yes. She told me it would be $30 for her hair and I said no problem, I'll be there. She also told me to arrive at 4:30pm and that was a good time for her. When I arrived there, there were already two clients being worked on and she asked me will I wait and I said yes. Instead of waiting in the salon I told her, I was going to step out and get something to eat and Ill be back. I came back 30mins later and one client was already gone and the other one was waiting, with color in her hair. As I'm waiting for the hairstylist to come from the back of the salon, another client walked in who mentioned she didn't have a appointment. Once the stylist came to the front of the salon, I asked her was she ready and she looked at the other client (who was white) and said she has to do her hair. I responded, "I made appointment at 4:30, remember" and she swiftly dismissed my comment and said the other woman made a appointment a week ago. There was no "I apologize for the inconvenience", nothing. She just started having a conversation with the client who walked in. So I just kindly walked out. I walk pass this salon almost every day because i live in the area, and it's always empty so I was trying to support the salon but never again, and I'll surely tell my friends about my experience.
