The first time I went here, everybody greeted me greatly and so I had scheduled my appointment. And they had messed me up with somebody else's name and later on I had gotten a call back saying that I had got a $100 certificate for the misunderstanding. So I had went back and got my hair done, my brows, my hair styled and my makeup done on in the teen special for only $85 and I had gotten greeted by the same stylists as the first time. I have to say it was a little scary when I got my appointment mixed up but I love this hair salon and I can assure you I will be going back many times to come. And I completely recommend the stylists Hannah! She did my hair and it came out amazing!!!

I'm always surprised when people ask for salon recommendations and the answer isn't immediately Hair Loft. Lana is amazing. All the girls do continuing education so they are always up on the latest techniques and styles. Just incredible!

During my college years I briefly lived above a garage.  Being a huge fan of Def Leppard, Poison and Quiet Riot, I had adorned the walls of my place with posters from my favorite bands.  One day my friend Jerry was at my place and sarcastically referred to the apartment as the "Hair Loft".  This is still the closest thing I have ever had to a nickname and when I get my hair cut here I always tell this hilarious story.  Jerry ended up going to jail for forging checks.

This place was absolutely amazing, blew my expectations out of the water. A friend and I had been talking about making a big change to our hair for a while so we did our research and found a few options. While we weren't able to make appointments in Wichita like originally planned, based on pictures and reviews we decided to stop in here. It was a blessing in disguise that our first option fell through. I've honestly never had such a positive salon experience. Your stylist starts by giving you a pleasant tour of the whole salon and spa area. After that they have a detailed questionnaire about your hair in order to get an idea of how to tackle what you want and what's realistic. I've never had paperwork like this before, it really takes a lot of the guessing out for people who may have forgotten previous dye jobs on their hair. Not only that, but I feel like a lot of stylists just ask what you want and go for it, but that might not be the best cut and color that will leave you happy. Michelle was incredibly educated and told me what the best style would be to aim for based on what i preferred. It might seem trivial, but before hair loft I've never had a salon offer me a water or soda/coffee, which now seems like common sense considering the whole process could take up to two hours! I remember telling Michelle I loved the vibe of the salon. It was bustling but not unpleasant or hectic, with an awesome open floor plan and wall mirrors. A lot of the girls also offer complementary services while you're waiting for your hair to process (they were all so upbeat and helpful as well, whether you were their customer or not.)
For my more specific hair experience, I loved the turn out. Michelle took me from a very dark brown to honey blonde balayage, and I'll be returning in a month or so for another lift and to add rose gold tones. When I took a quick bathroom break after she blow dried it, I couldn't stop playing with it and admiring it in the mirror before it was even curled. She did a phenomenal job and I really loved getting to know her and facts about the salon. Obviously I would personally recommend Michelle, her balayage technique is epic, but I don't think there is one person employed at hair loft that would leave you unhappy. I'll post a picture of the color, unfortunately it's how i styled it the next day and not Michelle's touch but it's still nice. The side's and back are blended so nicely (my phone in lowlight doesn't do it justice,) and she made the blonde frame my face perfectly. Thanks Michelle!

I love coming here!  Anna does a fantastic job with my hair, which is thick and wavy. She always makes me look sleek and sharp! And she was able to take my natural dark color to a  blonde shade this summer without any of that brassiness!
