Story

The Hair Studio opened in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1977 and has been at the same location since.

Frank Napolitano has owned the Studio since then and is recognized as a Master Stylist & Colorist, having studied with Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Beth & Carmine Minardi and Lisa & Jon Gunther

In addition to their personal expertise, The Hair Studio staff is educated personally by Frank Napolitano and is constantly upgrading their level of skill and awareness of technique and product

I had a hair emergency while on vacation in the area and called for an appointment.  Kristy was so accommodating!  She not only fit me in, she spent time discussing my options with me before she started working on my hair.  Even Frank offered some sage advice.  Kristy worked on my hair long after the salon closed. She treated me like I was one of her valued clients even though I live in North Carolina and can never be a regular customer. My husband keeps telling me how much he loves my hair color and style now.  I highly recommend The Hair Studio!

I went to the hair studio to have my long wavy hair trimmed. I made reservations with Frank to do my hair. My haircut took about 15 minutes. During that time Frank repeatedly went on about "his" new products and tried to sell them all. He sprayed a vinegar sulfates cleaner in my hair, which he instructed was to be used before you wash. However, he used this at the end of my cut just before I left. This made me look like a "frizz head" until I was able to get home and wash out. The website for hair studio advertises at least a 45 minute cut for min of $35. I got the min, I was in out and charged $80.  In my opinion hair studio is absolutely a "no go".

Frank is a wonderful colorist and hair stylist. I've been going for years and have always left feeling great about my hair.

Frank is a true artist. He is committed to learning about new techniques and products and pays attention to the unique needs of each customer.  I always leave The Hair Studio looking and feeling great!
