I never complain about someone’s hair. I am a big believer on being adventurous, try new hair styles and colors. BUT I was shocked and saddened when I saw my mother’s coloring job from Hairway Salon. It was awful! Big blob of over highlight in the center of the back of her head. Left side is way lighter than the right side of her head and the front is so uneven! If a stylist/colorist is okay with a client paying and walking out of her salon looking like this... then I would not recommend this salon.  Be warned!!

I showed my stylist the picture of the hair cut I wanted, received a totally different cut. Asked for highlights a shade or to lighted than Carmel. Can barely tell I have highlight. Was on cell phone while cutting my hair. Totally unsatisfied!!

They always do a fantastic job, and they've got great prices.  Only downside is they are almost always busy, and it usually takes quite a while, but I'd imagine if I had the foresight to make an appointment, that wouldn't be an issue.

I had this done on Tuesday 08/26/14...I love the color...the cut and style overall needs improvement; it's great on one side and crooked on the other. I mentioned it to the girl (the one who colored my hair) and she styled it so you couldn't tell. So when I looked at it, I couldn't either. But yesterday, I could see that the one side is clearly uneven and ragged...I'm afraid to go back...it might get worse. I had two stylists...the girl who cut my hair seemed very meticulous. But you can see clearly that it is uneven and raggedy. I was there for over 3 hours. I went in at 4 and came out at 7:15. My hair was cut dry. I had two girls work on it as the one had to leave early. And I left a generous $10 tip to be shared between the two...not sure about going back. I don't want to go somewhere else and pay to have it cut again. It doesn't even look like the style I showed them...it looks like a pageboy bob with a cut out at the nape of the neck...plain and simple...really disappointed. They had lots of hair to work with...part of it is, I think, they're so busy and with only two hairstylists on, they were trying to get as much done...however, the customer should not suffer. The other stylist was so busy that she was on the phone while rinsing my hair and the water was so hot, it burned my scalp. I'm really disappointed in it as it's the only place I go and usually it's pretty good. And the more I look at it, the two sides are different lengths. It looks as if I have two different styles going on. And the bangs are a good 1-2 inches shorter than I wanted. I asked and showed a picture that they be right above my eyebrows...they are a good 1-2 inches above. I'm not even sure what the back is like...it feels long on the "side" areas of the back and the middle section feels so much shorter. I can't get a good look in the mirror. It feels like a reverse mullet and I clearly told her I didn't want that. I had pictures and showed her front and back/sides. The two "side" sections in the back are long enough that they stylist got a round brush and curled it under but the middle part of the back on the nape of the neck is much shorter. Now it makes sense why the stylist styled the back area under so tightly...the middle of the neck is cut out much shorter than the rest. I have a pageboy bob on the sides and part of the back with the nape of the neck being cut out short. I bet it looks hilarious in the back. The hair at the nape of the neck is about 2+ inches shorter than the rest of my hair. Maybe she thought my background was Chinese and wanted me to look like it. Now that the "styling" is coming out, it really is noticeable that it's a poor job. I'm really disappointed. I should've left my hair long and I guess I should've thought twice when she told me the lady who had the perm before me kept complaining about it :( it's hideous...the only other time I had a bad time was when some chick there colored my hair and got black hair color on the back of a peach shirt...very noticeable and didn't say anything. Very unprofessional behavior...
