Got the Chicken Burrito bowl , and from there selected a various of veggies beans sauces , nice guy that took our order , it a lot to finish better to share or have it for leftovers for next day lunch . Just be careful of the spicy items especially if you not used to it overall great burrito bowl and good service. Vegetarian options: A lot of salad options
First I visited the restaurant when I was on my way to Texas then I saw this this place and there were a lot of food options then I ask for the recommendation and they told me that the burrito ball is really good because I can put anything in it or you can say that it is more like a custom ball, then I take there there recommended food and it was really good and it is more healthy so I gave it 10/10 specialty with there white and chipotle sauces so I recommend you guys this place for healthy and value for money food.
Service was very slow. I ordered burrito Tacos Quesadillas Almost choked on the open stapler in the steak burrito. Never going there again. Rather stay alive!
Finally managed to get myself some halal Mexican food in NY. Happened to park out here while getting Texas Chicken for the kids and noticed the Burrito bowl signage on the window. I was parked a little close to a hydrant so the wife went in to pick up the food. The offer outside was for a 24oz bowl which they advised was probably on the small side so she picked me up a large bowl for approx $17 with chicken, steak and lamb. Portion was very good, easily enough for two. The chicken and steak meat were nicely cooked and flavoured. The lamb was exactly the same as you get from the gyro carts outside and every other halal place in NY. Sauces were decent but nothing exceptional. Had I walked in myself I probably would have ordered the Birria Tacos. I enjoyed the meal but couldn't help but feel it wasn't too different to the chicken/lamb on rice you get from the gyro carts just outside, if only a more upmarket version. I'm not too clued up on Mexican food but expected something slightly different to what my taste buds were used to. Didn't get this here. I was probably expecting more beans with the rice and a dollop of avocado sauce or something but it just tasted a little too familiar to my Pakistani taste buds.

I stopped at Texas chicken on my way home yesterday to pick some food for kids and saw halal Mexican restaurant next door and thought to give it a try. Staff was very friendly. Very clean restaurant. I ordered birria taco and loaded nachos. Both tasted awesome. I will be coming back for more. Though it's bit pricey but totally worth it.
We always go to the Texas next door late at night when Halal Mix is closed. We decided to come here earlier, and we were not disappointed! This place is clean, the employees are nice, and the food is amazing. The philly cheesesteak looks simple, but it tastes fresh and super cheesy. The tacos were good, but they had room for more meat. The quesadillas were cheesy. The pita had chicken shawarma in it, and the sauce made it taste even better. The messy fries were super cheesy, spicy and delicious. I feel like “cheesy” would be a good way to summarize the experience 5/5 I would highly recommend everyone to check this place out!
Extream bad customer service by the new guy standing on counter. Charged my card extra and when I asked did u guys increased your prices he was shoked. He’s definatly hurting the business and this is my 3rd bad encounter with him. All 3 times he did same thing. Definitely good place and people but only be careful. Customer service is important for business success and owner should know that he’s definitely hurting it.
Food is good but not served hot therefore I will prefer fresh hot gyro from the cart next timeFood: 3/5
The food is amazingly fresh, tasty and the restaurant is the cleanest I’ve ever seen. I recommend the burrito bowl/salad bowl and quesadillas to everyone. You will not be disappointed. Nonetheless Philly steaks and shawarmas are surprisingly good too.
