We'll start with the good. Fish entrees were fantastic and fresh. Not a ton of food but just enough and delicious. The shrimp cocktail was terrific. The shrimp are huge. The jazz band was very nice and the place is beautiful. Now the bad. The drinks are overpriced and the wine is only so so compared to the glass menu at other places. The salmon 3 ways appetizer was disappointing. The smoked salmon and the gravlax had the same sauce (basically whole grain mustard and mayo), despite having totally different flavor profiles. Also if there was white truffle oil in the tartar, I couldn't smell or taste it. Service could be better but was friendly and efficient.

One star for the decent ambiance. Service is slow and rude. The manager was very rude and acts as if we should be paying her money for visiting the establishment. I would hope this was a one-off night, but this is my experience. Usually I never stay in the suburbs and decided to give Montclair a try. I got up to get drinks 3 times and was charged 3 different prices for the same three drinks. When asking to speak to a manager she was rude and gave me to read a menu and said "read the price what it says". Definitely will not be returning here.

Very nice sea food restaurant. Good bar, food and service. Parking may be a problem.

Joined my cousins for a birthday dinner in my aunt's honor. Had the lobster with gnocchi plate and a glass of wine. It was pretty good. Dessert was a warm chocolate cake with ice cream (home run🎉).

Good food - good quality, portions were just right, food was adventurous and very tasty. Service was a bit impersonal, I was also disappointed in the level of attentiveness displayed by the server. We had to call for service a number of times. Food was served in a timely fashion but the wait for drinks was both long and inconsistent among those present at the table. In a place of this caliber I'm used to seeing pains taken to serve everyone at the table in the same pass.
