This was hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.  My special guy's father is friend's with the owner & we brought family visiting from Italy for dinner.  This was my first time trying the food, everything was delicious, portions huge.  You can order larger, family style meals several days in advance & it's BYOB love it.  I was very surprised by everything as the outside along with the name of the restaurant doesn't remotely sound like an Italian restaurant.  I would definitely take the ride just to eat here again.

Honestly, my review from 2015 would have been Horrible because of a bad attitude of staff. My experience fast forward to this past Friday was superb!!. Had the Eggplant sandwich with Goat cheese and Roasted Peppers!! Heavenly!! Huge portions, side of Macaroni Salad was delicious too!! Well worth EVERY penny. Can't get that price and size sandwich anymore. Pleasant surprise! Staff was pleasant even though busy....

I am utterly appalled at the lack of cleanliness...  Never thought I would get dirt in my sandwich  lettuce.  Yes I understand it grows in dirt, but I  vinegar wash my lettuce at home and expect a public facility to be even better. Would think a large restaurant would throw the daily lettuce in a sink to wash.  I don't want to be crunching grit in my sandwich. This clearly wasn't even rinsed. 11$+ out the window  Not happy.   Should have stuck with my homemade PB &J.

Recommended by a friend.  Weren't sure if we were in the right place but when we heard other patrons speaking Italian we knew.  The food was absolutely delicious, prices were very reasonable.  Looking forward to going back again.  Parking: Parking in rear.  Kid-friendliness: Yes, family oriented.  Wheelchair accessibility: If you park on the street you can easily get in with a wheelchair.

Awesome place!!!! It was super lively when we went and the atmosphere was great. The menu has a bunch of options; everything our group ordered was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal in Wallingford.

Recently my husband & I had a celebration with close friends and family here, and I can't put into words how happy we are that we did. The food, prices, service, atmosphere & owner Stefano always manage to go above and beyond expectations.Food: 5/5

After more than a year of social distancing my wife and I stepped out and went to lunch. WOW it felt great getting back to normal activities. Went lunch at the Half Moon grille in Wallingford, CT. My wife ordered a pecan chicken salad wrap, I opted for the prosciutto, roasted peppers and mozzarella panini. Service was quick and friendly, the food was just a I remembered, excellent. As people came into the resturant there were loud greetings of welcome back like going to a friends house, very comforting feeling. We each had a choice of chips or pasta salad, we went for the pasta salad, just the right amount and mixed just right. The chicken salad wrap was packed full of tender chicken mixed with pecans, grapes and lettuce, my wife said it was delicious. The prosciutto panini was just perfect thinly sliced prosciutto covered with red roasted peppers which I claim make a sandwich and mozzarella cheese, and a little basil.   I would recommend stopping in here when you are looking for a great place to enjoy great food and great service.

I love half moon. It’s my favorite restaurant in Wallingford. Over the years I’ve had wraps, salads, paninis, pizza and pasta. The food is excellent here! The atmosphere is great hereFood: 5/5

The food here is very, very good. Not expensive, and very casual. You order and pay for your food and then find a table. You wait, and then finally a rather inexperienced young server delivers your food to you. I had the Veal Chop Parmigiana and it was fantastic! At $22.95 it was the most expensive item on the whole menu, but it was well worth this price. One of the best things about this restaurant is that it is a BYOB dining establishment. They will even provide your wine glasses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
