I love this place; parking can be a challenge and I wish there was a way to look up book locations without having to ask a clerk, but I love this place. Great variety of books, comfy chairs sprinkled throughout, super helpful staff, and half priced books!

Their buy back policy / process is pathetic, had visited to sell back 4 books which included 3 best sellers of the Maze Runner sequel which were actually purchased from 1/2 price a month earlier. They paid 1.5 dollar as buyback amount for all four.... :( :( More would have been spent on fuel to their shop. Not sure if this is how their other outlets also operate... Would surely not visit this one again

Terrible place if you're selling. You'll get pennies on the dollar. You're practically donating your stuff. If you want to get rid of it and do a good deed at the same time—and save the hassle of hauling heavy bags and boxes to Half Price—just donate your books, movies, etc. to one of the charities that picks up on your curb. Terrific business model for Half Price, though. Pay a few cents for something, sell it for $3, $4, $5. The St. Paul store's basement bargain DVD deals used to be pretty good. But they're jacking up prices down there, too, while eliminating anything interesting. Pricing tired old movies (that most everyone has who wants them) for $3 stinks. Even the recent $2 price was high, compared to their worth (and current garage sale prices). The tent sale last summer was the worst ever for movies and TV shows. Just tons of those tired old movies. I expect the State Fair sale will be the same, but I'll have a look, just in case. About the only thing left here that gives hope are the occasional 40 and 50% off coupons.
