Today's appointment I was scheduled to see Dr Stanley about having my tubes tied. When they called to confirm the appointment, they told me to make sure I was on time because Dr Stanley will reschedule the appointment if I was 5 minutes late. I got to the office at 12:20pm. Sat in the lobby til 1:10pm. The nurse went thru the check-in procedure and told me the doctor will be in soon. The midwife I saw during my pregnancy came in at 1:40p to tell me that the doctor will be with me soon. at 1:45p Dr Stanley still had not acknowledged so I left and rescheduled the appointment. Whoever is incharge of sending out the email reminders, resent the reminder email for today's 2 minutes after I had left the office and 47 minutes after the intended scheduled time!!! The crappy part is this doctor is the only person available to do this procedure thru Care for Women and is only at the Ormond Beach office on Mondays and they refused to let me reschedule the appointment that was not conceivable for me. Now i get to go thru the whole song and dance again in 2 weeks

In early March I had an appointment at the Halifax Health - Center for Women. I was set to see Dr. Haddox about trying to get pregnant. I expected some sort of greeting when I arrived, but there was none. After waiting at the counter for a bit, I was told I could have a seat and someone would be with me shortly. When my name was called I was given papers to fill out about where I was at in my pregnancy. I was a little confused about the forms, but figured they were standard and continued to select the answers that applied best to me, or leaving it blank. A couple of minutes later I was called back to the counter, as they had realized they have given me the wrong forms. I heard jokes about "Oh, she doesn't want a baby!" and was then handed the proper paper work. It was clear they were unaware as to why I was there. After filling out the correct forms I was informed that Dr. Haddox is no longer there and I would see Dr. Greenblum. I was walked into the room and waited. When Dr. Greenblum arrived I had expected a greeting. There was none. Perhaps I should lower my expectations as far as greetings go. Dr. Greenblum proceeded to ask me a few basic questions and then continually told me that I should get invitro. I mentioned to him that I was previously scheduled to see if my tubes are blocked, but ran into an insurance issue at the time. He continued to insist that I needed invitro; stating, "Are your tubes blocked? I don't know, maybe. You should get invitro." He continued to tell me what a great candidate I would be, but offered nothing else. I probably should have left at that point or sooner. Had I left, I would have missed to icing on the cake - when he, a doctor with a new patient, turned around to enter something into the computer and said, "you look familiar. Were you at a Holiday Inn last night?" I couldn't believe it. I still can't. I'm still unclear as to if he was implying he is a sleazy man with questionable morals, or if I looked like a hooker in my jeans and t-shirt. When the appointment was over I went back to the front desk to pay my co-pay, but was told I would be billed. This really set it all in. I just wanted to pay and be done with everything about this appointment. I walked out knowing I would never walk in that place again. That day I started my Zoloft. As I write this and reflect back on the situation, I'm suddenly very glad he never shook my hand. Fast forward to yesterday, August 19th. I finally got my bill from that dreadful day. I will pay my bill, but I also want to express that I am paying for a day that I received zero help or guidance, but instead was left completely and utterly insulted by a man whose credibility is absent.

Office was dusty and dirty. The floor had trash on it and seemed as if it hadn't been mopped in days. There was a layer of dust on the countertop. They couldn't seem to get my information down straight. It is a good thing I don't have to deal with domestic violence bc they asked me if I did, answered "no" FOR me, then moved on to the next question.... I could go on...

I'll get to the biggest problem first. At 39 weeks, my doctor performed a membrane sweep without my knowledge or concent. He told me he was just going to check my dilation, then went deeper and a felt him sweep my cervex. He pulled his bloody glove out, and told me what he did after he did it. 20 minutes later my plug fell out. And that is not the only problem I had with this office. On another visit they violated my hippa rights. I was in the exam room and I could here the doctor, nurses and billing and coding ladies up front in the patient waiting area discussing why I went to the ER the night before, and I could hear them laughing about it. On another visit they had canceled my ultrasound but didn't call to tell me not to come in. When we got there for my appointment, they told me it was canceled. My husband was upset and asked why no one called us. All of a sudden, the receptionists, nurses, and billing and coding women all ganged up on him and started screaming at him. Telling him that wasn't there job and he had no right to question them. I was so upset I started crying in the waiting room because these women just all ganged up on my husband. I recommend NOOOO ONE gets treated by this office. My biggest this was having a membrane sweep done without my knowledge at 39 weeks. I received NO warning that he was going to do that. I felt so violated. Especially since I was only 39 weeks.

I am so grateful that I found this office! The staff, nurses and nurse practitioner are so friendly and professional. I am especially thankful for the speed in which I can come to the office and be seen in less than an hour, most of the time I am in and out under a half hour. Having a toddler with me most of the time makes this super important. Their care is world class and I feel they value my time as much as I value theirs!
