The Halifax Historical Museum displays local history from 5,000 BC to the present day in a National Register of Historic Places listed building designed by Wilbur B. Talley in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. The museum is housed in the former Merchants Bank building (1910), added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on January 6, 1986. It is located at 252 South Beach Street.

THE HISTORY OF DAYTONA IN ONE PLACE.

This museum is the perfect place to learn the culture and history of Daytona Beach. Take a photo in a real vault and Thursdays is admission by donation.

Had a rainy day during vacation and decided to hit the shopping and museums.  This place is cool!  Good history, neat stuff, and the price is right at $5 per person.

Halifax Historical Museum is located mainland in a historic beautiful building that was once a bank. They have a range of interesting exhibits about Daytona Beach and the people who live there or have lived there. Well worth the time to stop in and look. The neighboring businesses include  an antique bookstore, jewerly store, & restaurants in a pretty downtown area.
