The purpose of the Friends of the Hamilton Branch Library, (FHBL) is to promote & support the Hamilton Branch Library, a branch of the Enoch Pratt Library.
Our aim is to enrich the cultural and educational opportunities for all citizens of Maryland, especially the local
community served by the Hamilton Branch Library. Specifically, FHBL shall:
1. Engage in activities designed to raise funds for the Hamilton Branch for program, equipment, materials, and services.
2. Promote local community awareness of, and participation in, the Hamilton Branch Library and the Enoch Pratt Free Library generally.
3. Encourage municipal and public support for free public libraries in Baltimore City and, when deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors, work with other Friends groups toward common goals and in matters of mutual interest and concern.
In addition to its status as a “subordinate” member of the Friends of the Enoch Pratt Library, Inc., FHBL may also participate whenever possible in any regional or city-wide association of “Friends” (of any public library) groups.
