Back in the late 90s I used to drop my kids off here before going to work. It was our saving grace. They couldn't wait to go. It's sad that is has closed. My kids are adults now and still have very fond memories of Hammack.
The Hammock Activity Center is the Palmdale City location for current COVID testing. Pull into the parking lot and follow the signs , there is friendly city staff ready to help you get a test.
People there are very nice and helpful. You actually do your own test, and the swab is much smaller than it used to be. Go, get tested!
No one bothers to answer the phone they even HANG UP on you while it's ringing and they poorly handle/misplace documents and test samples. Extremely unreliable and ridiculous.
We go here faithfully every week to take covid test. It's a drive up free fast quick testing
It's the home for the Boys and Girls Club. Parks and Recreation use the facility for basketball practice. They have two nice indoor basketball courts.
Open right at 7 AM which is great because i need to go to work afterwards. Have people there to guide you as needed.
It was fast and everyone was very helpful.
Got in quick and test results quickly
