This was our second time to stop in for dinner at Hammett House while passing through town. The dinner fare was just as good as we had remembered from before, and the waitstaff all were very personable, courteous and attentive. 

Our waitress, Amber, indeed helped us decide between so many good choices. I went with a Cesar Salad, the Grilled Hawaiian Chicken, and mashed red skin potatoes. My wife had the Jumbo Shrimp and baked potato. Both our selections were superbly prepared and the portions and most pleasing taste was so very satisfying. 

In addition, they hand make their dinner rolls from scratch early every morning and I have to tell you they are simply most delightfully awesome. We finished with a serving of their sizzling hot peach pie a la mode within a mini-iron skillet that was absolutely having the very best for the last.

Very home townie ..  long history .. meaning they are doing something correct. Food is good.. and the owners come around to the tables to ensure that you are happy.  Great place to go.

Delicious food..salmon on bed of spinach with strawberries.... mmm! But the pies are amazing. We were there on Wednesday and got free cinnamon rolls. Don't miss Will Rogers Museum next door.

Amazing food and wonderful service. Everyone was extremely kind to us as we passed through here on our Route 66 road trip. The chicken liver is excellent.

Down home cooking; Sign over dining room: "Life is short eat dessert first". The sour cream raisin pie was eaten before the chicken fried chicken, mash potatoes & gravy, and green beans. We visited four times in the eleven days we were there.
