I had the most wonderful experience at The Hampton Inn Metairie. All of the staff were beyond helpful as well as extremely pleasant and kind. They provide shuttles around town as well as to The French Quarter which helped to save money on an Uber. They also serve a hot breakfast every morning that has a variety of things to choose from. The rooms were very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the New Orleans area.

The hotel was clean, but the furniture is a bit beat up. They are making upgrades.

Parking is plentiful.

The AC unit was not too loud, but there is road noise from the causeway.

The proximity to the freeway is startling. The room I had had a clear view of cars driving past the building maybe 50 ft away if that. The rooms were okay the iron and my room was terrible the ironing board had a cover with no padding. We arrived at 2:30 and we had to wait half an hour to get our room. If you choose a smoking room be prepared for room that absolutely reeks of cigarettes it's like walking into an ashtray. It has a breakfast that wasn't too bad but not many healthy options but there was fruit yogurt juices cereal and a few hot items.
