Great food and service! The sign on the door says Han Dynasty was rated one of the top 50 Chinese restaurants in the US, so I went in with high expectations. I'm happy to report that I left pretty satisfied! This BYOB has great variety of dishes to try with different meat and sauce combinations. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and the portions were great for family style sharing. We especially enjoyed the dumplings in chili oil and scallion pancakes as appetizers and I really liked the hot style chicken. My Mom and brother especially enjoyed the garlic style beef. We also had our choice of white or brown rice with our dishes which supplemented the meats and veggies well. The staff was also very friendly and made great recommendations for what to try. One complaint I have is that they don't do anything to acknowledge birthdays, which is unfortunate because the family style portions lend themselves well to family gatherings such as birthdays. Another complaint is that I've had takeout from here before and it's not as good but still not bad! as eating the food in-person. I've also been to the University City location and it's noticeably grander with a bigger space, more comfortable seating, and a cocktail menu. The Cherry Hill Location is fine enough too; it's just that the lights are a little dim and there was a pesky fly that wouldn't leave us alone. Overall, I'd definitely come back to this location since it's more convenient for me and I'm anxious to try some of their other dishes!!
Answer: The dry pot chicken was my favorite! It's the perfect amount of spicy. The bamboo shoots give great texture, and the mushrooms are flavor bombs! We also always get the Dan Dan noodles. They're the ultimate comfort food!Food: 5/5
We drove 3 hours just to eat here. Yes, it's that good. We love it. The Dan Dan Noodles are tasty with a perfect umami flavor. Must admin they were a little different from the last time but tasty nonetheless. The dry fry style chicken customized with the addition of Sichuan peppercorns is to die for especially when paired with their vegetable fried rice with extra egg. We also tried the cumin style tofu and it's the best tofu dish I've ever had. The texture on that tofu and the spicy cumin crust satisfies at so many levels! Definitely coming back soon. If you have been here before you know what I'm talking about. If you've never been here before then I suggest you give it a go. Highly recommended!
Food is always good. This is my and my coworkers to go place. I’m a fan of mapo tofu. FYI if you don’t like spicy or oily food, don’t go.Food: 5/5
Let's start by saying that we used to love dining here for special occasions. So we know how good the food used to be and what it should look and taste like. Unfortunately this was not the case yesterday when we ordered take out for my daughters birthday. We had two orders of Dan Dan noodles that were very dry. We ordered 2 hot sauce style chicken entrees. In both entrees the chicken had a slimy texture, very little sauce, and the vegetables were thick and uncooked. We struggled to find the chicken in the chicken lo mein. The manager offered to make 2 new hot sauce chicken entrees however, we live 30 min away and it was already 7:30 at night. No refund offered. It's 'tricky'. Birthday dinner ruined and we will no longer visit.
Delicious, authentic Sichuan cuisine. Portion is big and price accordingly. We always come here whenever we're craving for spicy food. But don't be afraid to ask for less spicy or salty, they'd be happy to accomodate.Food: 5/5
The dishes are delicious. Just be mindful what spice level to choose. Big of fan of their Dandan noodles and scallion pancakes. Perfect place for 2 people or group. Best Chinese restaurant in the South Jersey Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for vegetarian
Now I know where Nascar Pit Crews go when they retire. The service here was extremely fast and friendly. We were a party of 3 that ordered enough food for 5. Only moments after we completed our order did a flurry of happy waitstaff arrive with portions of our order. I'm giving this location 4 stars and not 5 only because the Wonton Soup Broth was lacking any flavor, we are frequent diners at the Old City location and everything we ordered here was on par with Old City, with the exception of the Wonton Broth. While Old City also has fast and friendly service, this location was superior in that category along with easy and free parking. We will be going back very soon, and we will be ordering the Wonton Soup, I'm hoping the lack of flavor of the broth was a fluke. I'll be back to update my review, and hopefully, I'll be bumping them up to a 5 star.
Visited a few weeks ago, it was so good I am back today!! The fried dumplings are delicious. The first time I got the chicken lo mein and it was a bit spicy but very good. My husband got the beef with long peppers and wow just delicious!! It comes with white rice on the side and a bite of rice with the beef is so good. I'm back today getting the same dish it is that good. Place is busy and seems to do a tremendous take out business. Highly recommended!
Been here many times. It is BYO. I like the wontons in chili oil, dry pepper fish and the chinese cabbage with dried peppers. Recently I have fell in love with the Pickled Chili style Fish. So delicious. Never have a problem with service, and honestly even though the restaurant atmosphere is not high end, its good quality food and they will customize how you want. Also always tables available usually no wait.
