I would like to express my frustration about this place. I've been with them about a year now.
The first worker I had, told me that I missed an appointment but she is the one who never showed up. She then didn't want to work with me anymore so she assigned me a new worker without telling me. 
The first meeting with the new worker was a disaster... she started telling me all her life problems...and then had the nerve to tell me that she was assigned to my case because she's new and they wanted to put her with an easy person who doesn't need that much help.  So if I was person who didn't need much help, I would have never been referred to a case worker. So I asked for a new worker and the next worker quit after 2 months😂. I think she did her internship at handy help and just left after she was done. Now I have a new one and I'm just going to tell her I've had enough.
I need to contact Ramsey county about this because people need help and they think because I don't have a language barrier or I'm not homeless at the time, that I don't need services.  This place needs some new people working and running it apparently.

Will not call me back. hen I complained , hung up on me. Said the person who was coming to help me did not work there.

I applied for the ILS Specialist position with Handy Help. I received an invite to attend a group interview held on a Wednesday at 3pm (I received the email the morning of), however I currently work a shift that overlaps that time. I emailed to let them know that I am currently working a full time job, and was unable to attend because my hours overlapped the interview, but I was still very interested in speaking with someone about the position. I received the following;

"I appreciate the email.  We had a large pool of candidates that came to the group interview which you missed. I regret to inform you we are not going to interview you for this position.  Please feel free to apply for posted positions in our company in the future."

While some may not be concerned with this, I felt it was a huge red flag that I was disqualified for being unable to call off my current job to attend an interview that I was notified of just hours before. 

Considering that this is the way Handy Help operates, I would never consider seeking employment with them again in the future.

Handy Help has been extremely accommodating to their clients and I've seen them helping people live a more meaningful life through their services. Case managers and clients know that Handy Help will go above and beyond to ensure the safety and well being of their clients.

Please, please, if you love and care for your love one(s), do not put them here! This place is the most unprofessional people you'll ever encounter and they will take advantage of your love one! Poor and lack of communication, incompetent to state laws and regulations and job duties, zero professionalism, unsympathetic to client concerns and questions , clients health, and families. I've heard more then one employee state they're there for a paycheck! And that's exactly it, no compassion what so ever. Please, don't make the same mistake I did. 

If I could rate them at zero star, I would!
