Had the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs and let me tell you, I literally was not expecting it to be this good. I drizzled some Franks Red Hot on it to give it a small kick. I'm in butte for the weekend and I will be back here again... probably gonna have to order this. The service is exceptional as well, the young lady is like a hawk with refilling your water.  Huge thumbs up to this place

Good food, but the people that work here are the best part. Great service and classic Butte hospitality... You know the kind... It's the type of hospitality that says: "We're so glad your here; when do you go home?" :) love Butte.

A nice restaurant. It's menu has been changed recently, but they still have some of my old favorites like their giant pancakes, Ham Steaks, and "The Big M", a Butte tradition in hamburgers! Slightly pricey with average meals running $14.00 per person...

The waiter we had was awesome.  We asked him what was good and he was forth coming with what was truly fresh and things he would not order.  We were made to feel like we were the most important customer in the place.  We would recommend this laid back atmosphere to anyone.

The food was filling. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning and updating. The menu needs a new design and the plastic sleeves they were in had syrup(?) smeared on the inside pages. Our meals were large and everything was cooked thoroughly. There wasn't much seasoning on anything so the food was bland. It wasn't a bad meal though. I'd equate it to a truck stop diner or Sunday meal for a large family. A few tweaks to how they prepare the food and bringing in some fresh options would have this place jumping. The salad was iceberg lettuce. The mushrooms on the Big M burger were canned. The Monte Cristo was dry - no jam or sauce spread on it. The fries and onion rings were cooked perfectly but they were the frozen kind. Hanging Five doesn't break the wallet and there is something for everyone on the menu.
