Have encountered Hanover Park police twice  . One officer was very nice and despite having ticketed me, his demeanor was appropriate and kind. The second time another officer was extremely rude to my husband over a speeding ticket. His attitude was completely unnecessary. However I just called the station to inquire about a public works related issue and the secretary was the nicest person I have encountered on the phone in a long time ! Just wanted to compliment her she was truly pleasant to speak with

Today at 10 pm a police officer was blocking the road on Orchard Ln Hanover Park il. He was an undercover cop. But that wasn't not the problem. Him  another Community Service Officer had their headlights and spotlight Shining on to oncoming traffic which was blinding me after I pulled over to stop and decided to turn around the police officer decided to get really close to my rear bumper as I was making a three-point turn in my eyes that's kind of like breaking the law you are asking for an accident to happen he first Blinded Me with his Spotlight which was hard for me to see as it is and then he got roughly about an inch close to my rear bumper after that he decided to pull up next to my car and shine a flashlight from his car into my face and keep in mind police officers flashlights are pretty powerful and bright but he didn't care all he did was shine it in my face from his vehicle while he was driving and ask me questions and then drove off now I'm having a hard time driving because I can't see this officer has caused a safety hazard for me and others on the road whoever this is I would like to know their badge number this is not acceptable as he pulled me over he asked me what are you doing but clearly I was trying to get through to my house but he was blocking it but that's that's okay that he asked he was just wondering and doing his job then in order to give me sarcasm and say it's called a police stop when I when I told him I was just turning around because I was confused on why the roads were blocked you can't expect me to know what's going on when you're blinding oncoming traffic this needs to be taken care of ASAP I need to know that officer that was telling me about the DUI checkpoint on Lake Street I don't understand what the point of that was there was no need for him to tell me that all I was trying to do is get home but instead he made my trip so much hard to get home because it was hard for me to see after. This undercover officer was in the silver Ford vehicle. And it was not right for him to continuously blind me when I couldn't even see his face little do I know it was just some random stranger telling me he was an officer this is not right. I apologize for missing periods in my sentences I just still can't see and it's been a few minutes now so it was very difficult for me to even type this all out thanks Hanover Park police department you're the best keep up the great work

Officer Galto was amazing when my fiance and I were the victim of a crime. He went out of his way to make sure they guy that attacked us was caught and arrested that night. He also stayed until our uber driver picked us up and got us home safely. He is an outstanding police officer! I have nothing but positive things to say about the Hanover Park police department.
