Hanover Township is located in northeastern Pennsylvania along the eastern bank of the Susquehanna River in the heart of the scenic Wyoming Valley. Hanover Township is one of the original Connecticut Townships laid out by the Susquehanna Company.

The present Hanover Township is bordered on the Northeast by the City of Wilkes-Barre, on the South West by the City of Nanticoke, and on the North East by the Susquehanna River and extends to the top of the mountain on the East. The Township covers an area of 21 square miles with over 210 miles of roadway and has a population of approximately 12,000.

Hanover Township has many industries, which employ thousands of people from the Township and surrounding areas. The businesses located in the Hanover Industrial Park constitute the major employers of Hanover Township. A new state-of-the-art Industrial Park "Hanover Crossings" on Middle Road is currently under construction and has settled in a large pharmaceutical company.

Hanover Township has easy and convenient access to the PA Turnpike and Interstates 80 and 81, from the several State Highways which traverse the Township. Hanover Township is a thriving progressive community with diverse industry, housing, recreation, improved roads, quality schools, public buildings, growing shopping areas, and elected officials that are optimistic about its future. Hanover Township is a great place to live and work.

It is the mission of The Hanover Township Police Department to protect and preserve the lives and property of the people we serve; to reduce the incidence and fear of crime, enhance public safety, pursue justice and improve the quality of life for our Township’s residents and visitors. Our mandate is to do so with honor, integrity and professionalism.

Products

Police reports, including vehicle crash (accident) reports, can be obtained either in person or via U.S. Mail. Mailed request must contain the appropriate payment.

Reports can be obtained in person, Monday - Friday,
8am to 4pm, excluding normal holidays.

Fees for reports are as follows:

Vehicle crash reports - available at http://www.crashdocs.org/pa-hanovertownship for $15.00.
Reportable Accident Reports are $15.00 and Non Reportable Accident reports are $25.00

Verification of Incident Report - Free.

Fingerprint Requests - $20.00
Township Residents only. Must make an appointment.
(Employment, Citizenship, etc.)

We do not process requests for reports or payment of parking tickets or traffic citations via the internet. Parking tickets can be paid at Police Headquarters 24 hours a day.
