Called them to schedule an appointment and the wait was 3-4 weeks. (I dont remember exactly what the wait time was but all the other places had long wait times too so Harbor wasn't any worse than most other offices I tried.) Anyways, I got there, signed in, sat in the waiting room for 25 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before I asked the front desk what was going on. They politely said they were running behind so I kept waiting. I asked a few more times over the next hour and finally told them I was going to leave and then the lady at the front desk ran in the back to find the Dr. The person I was supposed to meet with finally came out about an hour and a half after my appointment time and explained that she was seeing another patient and was double booked and asked if I could reschedule. This would likely mean waiting another few weeks. Not wanting to do that I decided to stand there in silence and disbelief waiting for her to suggest an alternative. After a few moments of awkward silence she then suggested that she could cancel the other patient she was supposed to see 5 minutes from now at 5:30 so that she could see me since I had been waiting for so long already. I appreciated the flexibility at that point since that meant I wouldn't have to wait another few weeks to see someone but still they wasted an hour and a half of my time and were now going to cancel on their 5:30 patient 5 minutes before they arrived. We go back to start the appointment session and she asks a few general questions about why I was there. I explain my old doctor retired and I needed to be reevaluated for ADD by a psychiatrist in order to continue filling my prescription. She copies all of this down, asks a few more behavioral questions over the next 15-20 minutes and then begins explaining the process/hoops I need to jump through to see the Psychiatrist so that I can continue with my previous ADD prescription with the new Psychiatrists blessing. It finally becomes apparent that I'm not even talking to a Psychiatrist like I was expecting to talk to after waiting for several weeks. She says that they will basically process my information to meet with the actual Psychiatrist on another day and that they would call me back to go discuss next steps. I'm glad that I didn't wait to call a different private/self pay doctors office because the folks at Harbor STILL haven't called me back after 5 months now. The only reason I'm writing this review is because they sent me a bill for an appointment that they 1. barely kept, 2. didn't come with an actual doctor in the room, and 3. never followed up on even five months later. I ignored the invoice(s) for a few months because I didn't want to pay the tiny $10 balance on my account and never got around to calling them to complain. Finally, after getting a notice from them threatening to send my whole $10 balance to collections I just called the accounting group to request that they drop the remaining balance for all of the reasons above but they didn't have the authority to do so and forwarded my call to two different supervisors, neither of which picked up their phones to discuss this. Wanting to get this small $10 monkey off my back I called back the accounting department to pay the outstanding invoice so I would never have to deal with them again.

Terrible... can't even faccs over scripts correctly along with canceling appointments. I get that heroin is bad in this city, but doesn't mean you have to ignore all of your other clients.

I had been desperately trying to get care for my mom who came to them with many issues.we were at our desperation point. They Care..they provided resources and the path towards getting her help. I would love to share my experience with others and let you all know that yes there is help

Despite what some others wrote, I've had nothing less of a good experience. I think you have to find the right people. I, fortunately have always been treated kindly and with respect. If you need counseling seek Tom. He's an amazing person who does care and is extremely helpful.

I have read the reviews about Harbor and thought that is not the way people who work there are nor do they treat people who call disrespectfully until today. I cannot believe how the woman at the front desk acted towards me. She said she could not hear me so I checked my phone volume. It was up as far as I could make it. I yelled in the phone and she still couldn't hear me very well she said. I gave her the name of the person who I needed to speak with and she told me there is no client there with that name. I said it is not a client but someone who runs the divorced and separation support group in Sylvania on Main St. @St. Joseph Parish. Reply was that no one works there by that name. All I needed was the last number in the phone number so I could call them. They are not at all put together very well. I use to work there many years ago and am proud to say, you NEVER were treated like that then. I give them a "ZERO".
