AVOID HARBOR FOR AUTISM ASSESSMENTS. They're incompetent! 

My therapist is absolutely certain that I have ASD, (I'm practically the stereotype of Asperger's), so I saw Dr.Mushtaq through Harbor to get a referral for a diagnosis, to help in my pursuit of SSI. 

I waited months to see these people, spent considerable money on cab fare, and took those tests for NOTHING. Harbor just wasted thousands of Medicaid dollars sending me to diagnosticians who are too poorly trained to do their jobs. 

In order to not agree with my therapist that I have ASD, Daniel Arledge had to choose not to believe what I told him, and completely misinterpret my behaviors, overlooking the fact that I'm 45 years old, and I have a lifetime of coping mechanisms. He said that I "displayed adequate eye contact", even though I told him that I could force eye contact, but that it's very uncomfortable, and spent the vast majority of my time in his office either looking at his desk or his shirt. 

His supervisor, Danielle, said that "Aspergers is no longer diagnosable" and that "for autism we look for pervasive childhood behaviors that go unchanged" This woman is COMPLETELY UNAWARE that Asperger's is now 'asd level one without intellectual or speech impairment'. She thinks that since I don't qualify as classically autistic, I don't have ASD!  

There are lots of psychiatrists in Toledo. Go somewhere else!
