Harbor Homes, Inc.creates and provides quality residential and supportive services for individuals, and their families, with mental illness and/or experiencing homelessness.

Story

We offer a variety of residential housing programs with varying degrees of independence to meet the individual needs of residents. Supplementing the housing component, integrated supportive services are based on the individual needs of clients. We also provide non-residential programs designed to empower individuals towards recovery and integration in our community.

Mission

To create and provide quality residential, health care and supportive services for individuals, and their families, who are challenged with mental disorders and/or are experiencing homelessness.

An amazing nonprofit that does so much for the community - from free health and dental care, to emergency and permanent housing, to employment supports and more. Programs work well - helping to end veteran homelessness in Nashua, and through the Safe Stations Nashua program, giving hundreds of people immediate access to medical detox and substance abuse services. This agency saves lives!

THE COUNSELOR HERSELF FOR THESE MEETINGS HAS BEEN LATE BEFORE AND SHE EVEN CUT SHORT OUR MEETING BY 15 MINUTES! THIS PROGRAM WAS SUPPOSED TO HELP KICK ALCOHOL, ALL THEY DID WAS TALK! NO TREATMENT NO ADVICE NO COPING MECHANISMS GIVEN...NOTHING! I HAD TO WAIT A M O N T H FOR THE FIRST INTAKE APPT, SO THIS WAS A GOOD 30 DAYS ADDED TO THE TIME I WAS WAITING TO GO BACK TO WORK! I CALLED UP ONCE AND ASKED FOR MY COUNSELORS VOICEMAIL AND HE SAID THAT THIS PERSON WAS NOT THERE NOR HAS EVER BEEN! YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING AND THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE THAT COME HERE ARE HOMELESS AND/OR NOT WORKING! THE TREATMENT I WAS THERE FOR WAS REQUIRED BY MY EMPLOYER, I WAS LATE BY 5 MINUTES ONCE AND THEY COULD HAVE BROUGHT ME DOWN TO THE SESSION, BUT THEY JUST DIDNT WANT TO BOTHER, SO THEY DENIED ME TREATMENT. I CALLED MY CONSELOR ABOUT IT AND HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK! MY COUNSELOR ALSO CLAIMED HE COULDNT WRITE A FOLLOW UP LETTER TO MY EMPLOYER, BUT HE ENDED UP WRITING ONE THE NEXT DAY AND BASICALLY SABBOTAGED MY JOB! THIS IS A PLACE THAT D E N I ED ME TREATMENT TO GET MY JOB BACK AND ONCE I GOT IT BACK, HE SCREWED ME OVER. THAT WAS UNNECESSARY, UNETHICAL AND UNJUST ESPECIALLY COMING FROM SUPPOSED PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE SUCH AS COUNSELORS! THANKS A LOT FOR SABBOTAGING MY JOB!
