This review is from a former employee: I wish I could give this place 0 stars! If your looking for employment this place is NOT it! They treat their employees like slaves. The pay was laughable and the treatment was horrible with absolutely no room for advancement. I was a hostess and a waitress. Certain days we had a buffet set out. The day was extremely slow so we were closing early. My co worker told me to help him break down the buffet and I jokingly told him no because that day I was the hostess so that's not my job and we was laughing. As I'm about to go help the manager from housekeeping tells me if a manager tells me to do something it is my job. We were so confused because we were playing. Another time me and my sister had clocked out and my mom was picking us up. We were told after we clock out we can't stay on the property. We had to wait in front of the convention center. There was another time when I used the bathroom. There was a bathroom right at the corner of the entrance of the restaurant so I would use that so I wouldn't go too far. The manager for housekeeping was in there and apparently told my manager. I get pulled into the office because employees are not allowed to use that bathroom apparently. I told her I just needed to blow my nose. She tells me I need to go to the back then. The back is where the food is cooked so I think that's nasty. Overall I was fired over it but I quit before she said it. Horrible management and experience.
If you're a large, hungry family on vacation staying at a nearby hotel with little kids looking for a good place to eat, this is not it. There were 11 of us. First it took 20 minutes to arrange some tables and chairs to sit us. The restaurant was empty mind you, so I don't know what the issue was. Then, the waiter took our order and we waited 28 minutes for our appetizers. Then, the waiter kept forgetting things we ordered. I am understanding person and I was generous and gave this restaurants two stars only because they waiter really tried to accommodate us and was nice. But he must have been really new because he came back to our table like twenty times to ask us simple questions like: .medium or well done, ice or no ice and ranch or blue cheese. Also the food, when we got, it was terrible. Everyone was thinking the same thing at this point, "We should have just gone to Mcdonalds". And the waiter wanted to bring out a fish meal then minutes after everyone finished their meals. At this point, we just cancelled the fish and asked for our check. Thank goodness we ordered some appetizers because if not the person who ordered fish would have sat throughout our whole meal with nothing to eat. We would have gladly paid twice what we paid if the food had been decent even with the same wait times. Its was awful. Bad start to a good vacation.
The service is good, but a little cold. The atmosphere is pretty inside, but outside seating is not. My French toast was tasty, but burnt in places. My husband's crab eggs benny were good, but the eggs were not poached hard as requested. All in all not bad. Not great but not bad.
Haven’t been back in years since my last visit. I was the first customer in the empty restarting and the same grumpy host was obviously irritated when I ask for a booth after he offered a small table. There was no sugar on the table, so I took some from an adjacent table. He came over and ask if there was none on my table, I told him no and after a thorough inspection he said I wonder what happened to it. Ordered an omelette which came covered in grease! The cook clearly fried both sides of the omelette in heavy grease then put the filling and folded it. Spinach wasn’t cooked. Nicole took it back and told the cook. They made another omelette, just as greasy! With the exception of Nicole - the place is just as bad as my last visit!!
Simple pub fare served up with fast and friendly service. My waiter Kristopher got me my order in about 5 minutes. I especially recommend the General Managers Hot Wings, with a side of blue cheese dressing. Though the Quesedillas and Burgers are also quite good as well. Whenever I go to a convention at the Baltimore Convention Center I eat here because of how fast the service is, and they are literally across the street from the Baltimore Convention Center. I would strongly recommend for a quick hearty meal, especially if you are attending a convention. They also have a great Eggs Benedict Chesapeake, which is basically an Eggs Benedict with fresh Chesapeake Lump Crab Cake.
I went to this place on a Friday night with some friends, because we were going to see Disney On Ice. Ordered our food and drinks. The food came fast, the drinks were watered down, but our server was great. Left for the show and the following couple of days noticed a $66 charge on my debit card, when it should have been $22. I called over 10 times, spoke to several managers. Even texted a pic of my receipt TWICE, they took my information to contact me, one person did call me back and left a message to send another pic of the receipt, which I did. Never heard from anyone again. They will never get my money again. Especially when you're over charging customers. If you go here with a group, pay in cash or just don't go at all.
Breakfast buffet was quick and filling; cost $13. Eggs, bacon, sausage, hash, french toast sticks, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fruit and comes w drinkscoffee, tea, juice. However, they definitely need more staff. I only saw 2 ppl working it and they were overwhelmed. The black female helped me and she was hustling back and forth; she seemed like a really hard worker.
The food was great although it was a limited menu. They even made something that wasn't on the menu for me. I'm not a red meat eater too much but their chilli was beyond good. I really shouldn't have ordered anything else. Yes, I will forward back anytime I'm in Baltimore!!
Our waitress was fairly rude, and my burger was good but it the patty itself was a little dry, the fries were standard issue.
Fun place. Waiters do a good job, though they put on a sarcastic face. Well worth a visit. Not a romantic place, but good food & drink.
