John Hickey lied about his mothers house and car. when his mother had a glass claim and it came back with the RI address to do the work I called Marian to confirm and the house number was disconnected. I then called John back and asked is his mother still lives at her house (as we insure the Auto and the home) in which He insisted his mother was just going to RI for a doctors appointment at the time of her window cracking. I belived him and when I went to check out the house it was Vacant with a for sale sign out front I then called him back to ask him what was going on and he was extremely Rude and being screaming saying you have no right to go on his mothers property and hung up. his mother called us back an hour later who we loved and were very respectful too and said she was very sorry about her son she didn't know he lied about the house being up for sale. I explained to her that due to the winter coming we would have to switch the policy to a vacant dwelling which was more money. she then said she was very embarrassed because she trusted her son to take care of her things and she loved us and the way we treated her and that's when I told her not to worry we would stay on the policy as long as the heat was turned up to 60 and it sold within a year. we could have issued a cancellation due to material misrepresentation due to her Rude son. but we didn't the house sold in February about 5 months later.

Terrible experience after being a client for over 30 years. Would not recommend this agency now

After 20 years as a customer, I am done with Harbour Insurance. Rude, negative and demeaning. I will soon become an ex-customer.
