Had to wait by the counter for 5 minutes before somebody noticed me and took my order. $30 before tax for shrimp & grits with Mac & Cheese bites 3 bites One shrimp was still cold and Mac and Cheese bites were nearly black. Overall taste was good though.
Everything was going well, then the price came up. So that's why they charge after you eat... We had shrimp and grits, and fried whittling 4, pictured. We chatted to the head chef, who was proud to tell us about her business and we had a very nice interaction there, she even ordered for us. The food was good, I certainly enjoyed it as a taste of Harlem soul food in Williamsburg, however the price at the end - $75 before tip. We did not know only 3 shrimp and a small cup of grits came out to one portion for $18. Therefore unfortunately it was overpriced as it is just street cart food in the end with seating at the counter. Again, the staff were lovely, it's just the state of inflation and costs, I get it. But for ~$90 total, I'm getting a banquet across the river in Chinatown
Shrimp Po boy was incredible. The Mac and cheese bites are great too, but just a heads up, a $12 order gets you only 3! The homemade sweet tea is also a must!Food: 5/5
You come for her and you stay for her and the food. Now it's pricey af, personally I would go to the cart in harlem and try her food again there. I don't eat seafood but after watching her in multiple videos for nyc eats i wanted to support. Chef tammy is beautiful, awesome and is worth it. Now its in Williamsburg bk and the price point meets the area. I had the mac & cheese ballsits so good, a little disappointing that only 3 come for the price but flavorful and a must get. I got the grits by itself and its good. Now my friend got the shrimp po boy and loved it, wished the bread was toasted a bit but ate it nonetheless. The funnel cake came as a lunch special item with the mac & cheese balls. Love how she has everything eco friendly and the food is good just pricey to go along with the other vendors. Parking is hetic but can be found for the nearby whole foods, can't wait to go to her food cart in harlem that looks like where its at. But for a cold winter day in Brooklyn I do recommend you go and get some good eats from chef tammy.
The best shrimp po'boy I've ever had. Balanced and sublimely delicious. Ask them to take it easy when they salt your fries.Food: 5/5
