We bought the house with a very old furnace that stopped working before December. When the temperature dropped my house was freezing, so I called Hartford and within the same day I had a brand new furnace. The questions I had where addressed politely and with extense knowledge from Mitch ( manager). The installation went smoothly and the crew was amazing. This is a family owned business and I am extremely satisfied with their service.

We had the A/C coil replaced about 18 months ago. Based on recommendations from Hartford we went with a Goodman. 18 months later the coil has developed a leak (UPDATE: I had a tech from another company check it and he told me the leak was due to bad workmanship). When I called Hartford, initially the customer service lady told me that the unit was not under warranty - that the coil was a replacement for the original and that I had signed the paperwork. I told her that it does not make sense since we paid full price on the replacement coil and the only reason we would do that was because the original was out of warranty. After a lot of back and forth she finally agreed to have her supervisor call me when he was available. A couple of hours later the supervisor calls and tells me that the unit is under warranty - they would come out for a $149 service fee. He told me that if the part needed replacement the part would be covered but the labor would be $1100. I told him it does not make sense since a new unit costs $1500. He then went on a rant on how this was because we wanted the cheapest option and then how they had tried to sell my wife the extended labor warranty but she declined. I told him that I was the one that dealt with the tech. Long story short - they promise you one thing and then do something completely different. All I can tell based on my experience is to take your hard earned money somewhere else. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

Hartford is absolutely fantastic. My A/C went out last week, so I looked up a few HVAC companies in the area. After several companies told me that they couldn't get any technicians out in the same day, I called Hartford. They sent someone to my home within an hour and I had my cold air back that day!!!

Our office A/C went down yesterday. I picked Hartford as it's really close to us and could come within an hour. Then, Funny things start. After about total 2 hours examining and testing, they gave us a quote: $540+ to get the unit start first and then they’ll be able to check what other problems are. My manager decided to wait for the company who installed the unit for us since we might still have some parts under warranty. So, the technician said he’d just collect $89 trip charge then. But after he called the office and came back with the paperwork, $89 is no longer the case. There’s another $149 labor fee. We only agree to pay $89. So the technician went in his car and called his office again. When he came to us the third time, things changed again. Now it’s $89 plus $149x2 because they sent two technicians. Well, the reason they sent two was because the first tech. couldn’t locate the problem. What a joke!
