Story

The Hattiesburg Zoo is home to more than 80 species of animals from around the world. Zoo facilities also include picnic areas, a train, carousel, concession stand, Splash Pad, Parris Jewelers Mining Sluice, Touch Africa Petting Zoo, African Drum Station, Gift Shop, edZOOcation center, and Asbury Discovery Center.

Nice zoo given the size of the city. Very well maintained with excellent staff. The exhibits are clean with large areas for the animals. The train was excellent and also well maintained; we appreciate the schedule too so we could plan. Lots of great areas for kids to play and very nice seating areas in the grill area. Only suggestion is to add some more healthy options at the grill; a grilled chicken sandwich would've been great since everything was fried or pizza.

My families favorite zoo!! Its super cheap and pretty amazing!! They have a train that you can ride in around the entire zoo and its only 2$ extra. The confessions are not to high considering its zoo food.. The animals are great and the workers are very helpful and very hospitable.

Zoos are my favorite place to visit while traveling, and the Hattiesburg Zoo is my all time favorite. It is small, but well worth the time and money. Very well kept and awesome atmosphere. Anytime I'm traveling through I make sure to stop!

Some of the attractions were closed but all in all, we were very impressed. It is a small zoo, but the animal habitats are very natural and there's a good variety of species. This is a wonderful place for children and adults and the admission is so reasonable. The keepers are friendly and very knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed the lemurs. A great way to spend an afternoon!

We love it here. Not too big so our 3 year old granddaughter can walk it and enjoy herself. Affordable also.
