Beautiful county park with sweeping views of the Hudson River. Great playground and ample space for picnicing.  

Gazebo and other enclosed spaces can be rented with permits well in advance of your event which can be a complicated and difficult process through the county office which is why I lowered the rating.  These are common areas that are limited to those who have paid to use them, rather then being available to anyone.

I appreciate that the county of Rockland takes pride in it's parks. However, given the taxes that the residents pay in this county, being asked to pay additional fees to use county parks for gatherings of people over 12 (including family gatherings) is bordering on excessive.  Especially when these fees are at times hundreds of dollars and require insurance certificates. 

Staff in the park however are friendly and helpful and work hard to help guests.

Great clean park right on the water. Great for grilling with a group of friends and family. Has plenty of grills with cans for disposing of ashes. Also has a boat ramp for access to the river.

This park is best for children, but for adults it's not so interesting.

Went to stop for a mid bike ride snack. I didn't know bikes weren't allowed, and the park attendant whistled over and over at me, until 5 minutes later he drove his golf cart to tell me "no bikes allowed". An honest mistake on my part, rudeness on the part of the workers.
