Dr. Chris Furlan is a uniquely outstanding dentist. He came highly recommended by the former dean of a prestigious dental school, and I have been fortunate to be a patient of his for the last decade. Chris has all the qualities of an exceptional dentist: vast experience, masterful technical skill, and a highly compassionate and personalized approach to patient care. But he also has something that goes far beyond: a genuine passion for science. He is a true polymath with an insatiable curiosity for understanding why and how dental problems develop, and for learning new methods to prevent, diagnose and treat them. It is refreshing to encounter someone so passionate about his work. Not only does it translate into excellent care, but it makes being in his dental chair actually an enjoyable and educational experience. It’s better than nitrous oxide! Chris’s office staff is likewise skilled and caring. Emily, my hygienist, is equal parts meticulous and kind, even when my flossing record is less than stellar. If you value your teeth—and your mind—you would be wise to go to Dr. Furlan at Havertown Dentistry.

Ive been seeing Chris at Havertown Dentistry for years and when I moved from Havertown to Media I have kept driving the extra 15 minutes to keep going there.  One of my back molars is probably more filling than tooth at this point and I was told I would need a crown.  When they got in there they were able to use a filling instead.  Its nice to see that they turned down a bigger procedure that I already approved.  I trust them to look out for my best interests.

By far the best dentist I have ever had!  If you want someone who knows dentistry and genuinely cares about the care of your oral health, then search no further than Chris Furlan.  You will not find a more knowledgeable or capable dentist.

Both as a patient and former dental hygienist, I can say Chris does the finest work I've ever seen clinically.  His relaxed chairside manner puts you at ease immediately.  He explains everything in layman's terms keeping you informed every step of the way.  Definitely my choice for top doc!

Dr. Chris Furlan, who has been my dentist for more than a decade, is an absolute gift.  He has earned my trust and my gratitude completely. In addition to being a kind, caring, and pleasant person, he is also a consummate professional - exceptionally thorough, well experienced in his craft, and up-to-the minute with regard to technology and the latest developments in dental techniques.  Every visit is comfortable and every step is explained.  I appreciate his conservative approach to dentistry; that is, he never rushes in to fix something that may not necessarily need to be fixed right away.  He's more likely to say, "Let's note that, and keep our eye on it, and see how it changes" and then he will do just that, always following up with professionalism and a calm wisdom that he's gained from decades of experience.  He's no longer Dr. Furlan to me, just Dr. Chris, and I honestly could not recommend him more highly.  As for the office staff and the dental hygienists, they are all equally friendly, competent, and efficient, and they know everyone by name.  Haven't had a single unpleasant visit yet in at least 15 years!
