I made it back to Hawkins Ridge This past January after about 15 year of not hunting. Craig along with all the staff made me feel welcome. They cater to the needs of everyone that is there. I am planning trips again this year. One early season and one during the rut again.I took a nice 8 point this past year but the experience was what the trip was about. I would recommend a trip to hunt with Craig. You will not be disappointed.

My son and I have hunted deer at Hawkins Ridge for 3 straight years and plan to return.  The food and lodge are very good.  Craig and his staff have always been accommodating.  I especially appreciated the fact that Craig, Gary, Kevin, and the Hawkins family made my son feel welcome . 
As for the hunting, it is a fair chase hunt, so success cannot be guaranteed.  Multiple bucks 8 points or larger were harvested during our first two trips.  The 2017 hunt was slower  in terms of deer movement, but that was due to unseasonably warm temperatures and other weather issues.  We still saw deer, just not the numbers that we had in years past.  We could have taken does on the hunts, but did not.  My son shot a feral hog in 2016, which he was excited about.  Craig and his staff always put us in good stand locations.
The fact that Hawkins Ridge Lodge has been in business for 30 years speaks for itself.   We look forward to going back in 2018.

Absolutely great experience! I have been turkey hunting here for over 15 years, and I usually take 2 or 3 friends with me.  Over that time we have had a nearly 100% success rate, most of the time you will kill one and sometimes two!  Great guides that know the land and where the turkeys are. If you want good food, great accommodations and wonderful turkey hunting, try Hawkins Ridge.

Craig and the guides went out of there way to make sure that our stay was great. The guides went out of their way to assure that we were able to work birds every morning. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the meals were second to none. We had a great time on a fair chase hunt.
