I am not sure what happened to the other review person, for the last 5 years, I have been taking my mother-in-law, my friends, and my relatives who have low income or no insurance.

They always constantly give us great services with big friendly smiles, listen and response properly to your needs, nice and clean facilities too. You get the same deals that you get if you go to other Family Practice or Urgent Care for a much lower cost. 

However, there was one old doctor I didn't really like 5 years ago, but he's gone a year after.
 
Like I said, even though I am not personally using it, but from my experience taking MIL, friends, and relatives, I think this is far the best County Health Department I have ever seen in my life.

And.. they do give immunizations every day.

I recently moved to the area and do not have a pediatrician, school started so I had to go here to get my child's immunizations. Oh my goodness, I don't think I've ever been talked to with more attitude or negativity. Dolores behind the desk treated me like I was a complete moron. She doesn't seem to want to be there and took ever opportunity to be difficult. I understand this is the only option for many, as it was mine. However, if you do have a choice, you will be better served with kindness anywhere else.

While most county health departments give immunizations Mon-Fri, this department only does shots two days a week. This wouldn't be a problem, but the two days that they give shots constantly changes without notice. Furthermore, I have called them 9 times in the past 24 hours (all day Tuesday and again this Wednesday morning) and still haven't had anyone pick up with phone. There's no automated system, and there's no way of leaving a message for callback. I KNOW I have the right number because I have their business card.....

I'm scheduled to receive my 2nd shot of my Hepatitis A Vaccine series, but haven't been able to get ahold of them to make sure what days they're open and doing business. I just called the Comal County Health Dept. in New Braunfels; my call was immediately answered, and I have an appt today to receive the immunization. Perhaps San Marcos/Hays County can take some notes.....
