I've been bringing my dog here for a few years now and have never had an issue, until now.

I brought Sophie in on Monday morning and picked her up in the afternoon. I didn't notice anything at the time, but by Tuesday morning I noticed a large red spot on her shoulder. I was with her all night and did not see her scratching or licking/biting the area.

I called Head to Tail Tuesday afternoon and told them what I had noticed and they said I could bring her in that evening for them to look at it. As the day went on the sore seemed to be getting worse and was clearly causing her pain so I made the decision to take her to the vet where she was given a steroid shot and a topical medication. When I brought her into the store, the woman was asking whether she had been scratching and seemed to insinuate that this was some kind of rash that was unrelated to the grooming. She took down some information and said that she'd have the owner, Marie call me the next day.

Which brings me to today...
I did not get a call from Marie and decided to call myself in the afternoon. I was very pleasant and asked her if she had heard about the situation at which point she started to get very nasty with me. She kept saying "well, what do you want me to do about it?". I explained that my dog has not had any skin conditions before and that this was obviously a result from the grooming that she had the day before. She kept interrupting me and insisting that this was not their fault and then ultimately told (yelled at) me to mail my vet bill to her and never come back there again.

I had called from my work phone and once we hung up she called back. She told me "I'm even more mad now because I read your chart and your dog comes in matted." I'm sorry, but I thought that was what the groomer was for? She also threatened my job and said that she would complain about me being rude...

I'm absolutely appalled that this is the way a business owner would treat one of their loyal clients.

Love Head to Tail!  This is my go-to place for buying high quality pet food... they have the best prices, always have or are able to order what we need, and Julia provides us with great customer service every time!

Cute shop and how it has grown since it's been there. From dog needs to daycare and grooming. Great place with good products.

A loyal customer from the beginning , but inconsistent and very rude my last visit. Lost me as a client.  Your not as good as you think.
