I went here looking for a used bike for my 10 year old daughter, and had 2 polite and helpful guys help us find a great match. They knew what size frame to recommend, and helped us narrow down our choices. Once we picked a bike, it was immediately put to the test by the mechanic who checked the brakes and derailer and even gave us an adapter for the tire nozzle. There is a 30 day guarantee, and a free tune up within the first month. I looked up the bike we bought and definitely feel we made a great purchase. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Great experience they fixed my bike for much less than I expected! I would consider checking this store out for the variety of bikes they have also.

My experiences with this shop has left me luke warm at best. I came here on a tip to find parts for early era MTBs I'm building. Their used parts are over priced and if you're not bicycle savvy and dont like to haggle look elsewhere; the bicycle thift shop in Biltmore for instance. But they do have the goods and I've scored some good finds here. If you're willing to spend the time and break the ice with these cats you can probably find what you need as they have a lot of used parts and bikes but my initial vibe from them was kinda like dealing with Seinfeld's Soup Nazi. They seem to be pricing according to mood and they seem to be in the mood to make money. And that's fine. Downtown AVL isn't low rent. Overall I hope they continue to stay in business as they are a good resource even if they seem indifferent to have your business.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I took my bike there for a tune up and to have my chain adjusted. They didn't fix the problem & when I took it back, they rode my bike around the parking lot and suggested that it was me & not the bike. Another employee chimed in with a differing opinion, but in the end nothing was done. I ended up taking my bike to Youngblood's on Merrimon Ave. They not only fixed the problem, but suggested some changes & fitted me better on the bike.

I visited the shop early on a recent Saturday morning. I'm not sure why I received so much attitude from one of the employees, but I don't plan on going back. There are too many other good bike shops in town to put up with that.
