Today we met with the staff for per-planning. From the start with a phone call to signing and setting our wishes in place it was seamless. Time was taken and all questions were answered. We are happy and now a bad day is taken care of how we want. Please visit or call for assistance in setting up your final arrangements.
Special thanks to Michele Auger who went above and beyond excellence to help me. Outstanding! Jeaninne Knight also provided the best possible customer service. Thank you! Elizabeth Crispo was fantastic and also went out of her way to help me. Thank you! Linda Rochon Perrone special thanks. All the best of luck in your new challenging position.
Let me start by saying God bless everyone and bless all the employees at Heavenly Rest. Mr John Oliverio was the one I dealt with. He did such an amazing job on organizing and making sure my whole family was comfortable with everything nothing was rushed and he would ask numerous of times if that is everything that we need and are we happy with what we have chosen. I was there a few days ago to design the head stone once again John was the one that took care of it and did not rush me at all and we worked together on it and came up with a beautiful design that would fit all the needs of the family. Extremely professional. As for the cemetery very well maintained and kept. Even the workers of the day of the burial the guys were great aswell they kept on going back and forth saying we have to do this and that next please if you are not comfortable with anything let us know I'm not sure if they are like that with everyone but they were with us. Even the way they were dropping the dirt on to our loved one they did it in a way that was extremely respectful and not rushed at all. I can keep going on about alot of other things but I'll leave it to another review to see what else I see there. So far very happy about the place and everyone that we have met. God bless once again. Hope this helped someone out there deciding if that's the last place to have there loved one.
A few years back I paid for my cremation. As Family First has their own crematorium, I decided to switch to them for personal reasons. When I did this, I was met with extremely non-professional staff including the manager. It was a business decision and not a personal one, but they did see it that way. When I did speak with them they had to tell me that Family First were more expensive and I did not care. I asked why they have to say that and the manager abruptly told me that is what they do. The man who took care getting my papers signed understood it completely. Someone from London should call her on the carpet...no understanding, defensive and totally rude.
Attention anyone who has loved one's buried at the Amherstburg Cemetery and Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Windsor. If you have experienced any negative issues with the recent changes in practice please message me. My family is fed up with the removal of personal belongings and gifts to our son Christian which now have been removed three times in the month of April without warning. Some of these items have been there for 10 years and were in very good condition. Our children are in tears after placing small items on Christian's headstone from a recent vacation only to have them removed. My 5 year old cried to his older deceased brother and apologized for "people taking his stuff." Calls to the cemetery have said that they are just enforcing a policy that they had not done prior. I have spoken to other individuals who are also very upset about this and so this is why I would like others to let me know about their recent experience.
It's hard to love someplace that your loved one is buried..but considering the pain I'm going thru, I'm sure my son would agree that it's a beautiful resting place. Words don't come easy for this review ..so I'll just say that Heavenly Rest has gone about making it as beautiful as can be for those in grief
I just don’t like the numerous rules/regulations they impose on gravesites. What can be on the headstone, what mementos can be left and if any, the length of time they can be there. These places are our loved ones final resting place where we honour and remember them. There should be more freedom to accommodate that as far as how we each choose to do so. We can’t help it that we can no longer legally have a family cemetery on our own property or else some of us would choose that instead! So, yesterday for Easter Sunday, I went out to the cemetery to visit my Mom’s grave, Mom’s Dad-my Grandfather’s grave and my step-Grandmother’s gravesite. I was saddened to find that my grandfather’s grave marker has been ‘clipped’ and damaged by groundskeepers. This occurred because the marker is sunken down further on one side and the damaged part is more elevated. I hope this can be rectified somehow. I’m going to contact them and I will gladly let people who read this know the outcome since this damage can happen to any of our loved ones graves. Please stand by.
Jeannine and the team were amazing. We want to express our appreciation for all the guidance and help they provided to us.
When it's time to die, this is a great place to spend etinerity. It's well kept, peaceful, beautiful statue, nice grounds. Hey death and taxes, gonna happen to all of us.
The cemetery would be wise to plant evergreen trees along the East perimeter to block out traffic on Howard to make the atmosphere peaceful.
