OMG I love their GYRO PITAS !!!! These people know what it means to make tastey food. Its all good no matter what you get...gyro or chicken pita,falafel,hefty fries.I got the gyro pita and I was in gyro pita heaven.I may try those fries next time.Great food guys and girls of Hefty Gyros !!! I will definately come back.If you want to achieve Nirvana...this place is a step in the right direction.

At Natioal night out. I ordered the #1, Original Gyro. It was very good , and plentiful, fresh cucumber and some peppers lighten the Gyro . The pita was great. Soft ,not dry, and the texture was good. Overall good experience.  The staff were super friendly too. And I wore my Food truck sock. GOOD LOOKING FOOD TRUCK. #justhavingfun

As others have stated - a bit overpriced, no price transparency, and ultimately, bland.  I'd describe it as them going for a halal guys approach with more sauce and a 'hefty' name to help you think you're getting more. Pictures certainly make it seem so. That being said, the food was edible and ingredients' quality was fine. Tried this truck a couple times years apart. I see that there is a market for them but if you have any other reliable gyro options, there is no need to open the wallet here. Just totally unremarkable on my palate. I was surprised to see this as a top Yelp recommendation. I would not recommend Hefty Gyros to any person who needs to be mindful with their money, unless we suddenly lost all competitors and are tortured by a craving for gyro.

So delicious! Hefty Gyro catered to the Roseville Kaiser staff yesterday and they did not disappoint. Get the Hefty Fries!

No prices on truck menu. Assumed since it was a truck that prices would be reasonable,  Wrong!!! The food is mediocre but they charge you as if you were eating at a four star restaurant.  Will not go back, much better food at local restaurants that are reasonably priced in Elk Grove.

Best Gyro I've ever had. It was a long windy night, and my face was worn from the whirling sands. Making a fire or seeking sheltwr was not an option, the desert did'nt allow it. Off in the distance, there was a faint flicker of a warm light coming through a building. After trudging through the vastness and severity of the cold swirls of sand for a night, I made it to the light, a magical place called Hefty Gyros. It provided warmth where there was none. The meats they provided in a warm, crisp pita was unparalled. Spices that make angels wet. Best pita ever!

The only complaint I have is that one employee with big bushy hair had no gloves on while all other employees did. The food is great tho. Truck in Folsom

We had Hefty Gyro cater our PHAdvocates employee reception and the food was INCREDIBLE!! Fresh, crunchy, crispy, and so delicious! Thank you, Jamal!!
