Heirloom catered a co-workers backyard get together for me. They were fantastic! The food was delicious! They were easy to work with! The Heirloom team was professional, did a beautiful set up, & left my co-workers home spotless. My photos don’t do the catering justice! Highly recommend!
I cannot recommend Heirloom Catering Colorado enough! They provided a delicious and expertly crafted meal for our wedding, and did so much more, for a very reasonable price. Now on to their food… STUNNING. They use locally sourced ingredients and support regional farms, and you can taste the difference. Their food was authentic, flavorful, balanced, and healthy. We had a charcuterie table that was perfect for cocktail hour during photos. Then they served a beautiful 3 course plated meal that I would order again and again at a restaurant. Their heirloom tomato caprese salad is to die for. The flat iron steak and salmon were perfect. Derek is a rockstar. He coordinated with a local rental company for our tables, chairs, plates, silverware, etc and made expert suggestions all along the way. He took away any stress we had while planning a wedding from another state without a wedding planner by recommending everything we needed or simply coordinating it himself. He communicated extremely well, including talking with our florist, the venue manager, and photographer. He works incredibly hard and truly is a gem. Truly, we wish we could take Heirloom Catering CO and Derek with us when we move, so they could cater every event we have.
We worked with Derek and the Heirloom team for our wedding in early September and had a fantastic experience. Leading up to the wedding, Derek was super communicative with my fiancée about the food arrangements, furniture + decor, cake, and general day of coordination. On the day, Derek and team HANDLED EVERYTHING like rockstars! We put our trust in Derek and the team and they crushed it. We were able to celebrate, eat, drink, cut cakes, take photos, kiss babies, and enjoy ourselves while the Heirloom team worked behind the scenes to make sure everything went smoothly! Everyone on the team was super professional and kind, and most of all: flexible. Rain, picky eaters, last minute changes…the team handled it with ease and made our wedding a hit. The best part of all? At the end of the night, the team picked up all of our stuff and told us to go enjoy the night! THANK YOU to Derek and the Heirloom team for the amazing food and service.
I was delighted to work with the crew at Heirloom Catering for a family celebration. Every step of the way, they were prompt, thorough, helpful, thoughtful, and creative. They accommodated our specific food requests with pleasure. Every dish they created for us was more delicious than the mega-deliciousness I already expected. They were in constant touch over the weeks leading up to our party. On the day of the event, they went above and beyond to create contingency plans for Denver weather. They worked with our other vendors to save us that stress. Derek’s warm community relationships saved us when we couldn’t find umbrellas for our outdoor tables. During the event, all the staff were friendly, caring, hilarious, and fun to talk to. Many of my family felt the same warmth and caring from them during the party, and made a point of telling me so. I had as much fun hanging out with them as I did with our guests. And, most important, everyone LOVED LOVED LOVED the food. By the day of our event, the Heirloom crew felt like family. They are fabulous chefs, event planners, creative collaborators, and people. I cannot wait to work with them again. I give them my highest recommendation.
Derek and his team did an incredible job for our group. The food was excellent, the service leading up to and on the day of the event was perfect. They really made our event come together and everybody was able to get more than enough to eat. The staff he brought to the event were incredibly attentive and seemed on top of everything through the whole night. They took a lot of the stresses of party planning away and Derek in particular had great ideas and input in the planning phase and on the day of. I'm so happy we were able to work together and would absolutely use Heirloom for major events in the future.
In 2020, Michelle catered a fabulous family dinner to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in our backyard. COVID had cancelled our plans for a big party. She also catered the big event a year later. The center of both events well, next to our wonderful family and friends was the food. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got on the array of tasty appetizers and delicious cookies. People are still commenting a year later. In addition, Michelle's staff was incredible. When our daughter and son-in-law had to make an emergency trip to the hospital just as the family arrived to decorate, her staff pitched in and helped decorate in addition to creating their fabulous display. All turned out okay in the end, and a fabulous time was had by all.
Heirloom Catering knocked our wedding out of the park! We loved meeting with Michelle and Derek took care of every need we had. They were swamped this season and still made a very stressful time feel easy. We had a 120 person wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens and I cannot recommend them enough. Everyone has said the food Tacos was a highlight of the evening. I can't put into words how much we appreciate their help and expertise. Book them now!
Michelle and Heirloom Catering have been providing a monthly dinner for my union for the past 7? 8? years. Their delicious meals are a big part of the reason I volunteer to attend the meetings. Each meal is thoughtful with vegetarian options and creative. At some point, I hope to have an event to be catered; when I do, I know who I will call!
Last night I attended an event that was catered by Michelle and her team. The food and the service were incredible. I really appreciated how thoughtful the menu was in terms of local ingredients. It was obvious that they take great pride in the food they create. The next time I need to hire a company to cater an event, Heirloom will be at the top of the list!
My wife and I contracted Heirloom to cater our wedding. It went very poorly and was made worse by Heirloom’s lack of accountability for the mistakes made during the execution of the event. We also found that the excuses offered, if sincere, revealed a lack of familiarity with information we had agreed upon explicitly before the wedding. For example, when we pointed out that some of our guests’ food allergies had not been accommodated according to our agreement, Michelle was shocked by and antagonistic about our expectation that a guest with an onion allergy would be accommodated. She was clearly unaware of Heirloom’s assurance, made in advance, that this guest would be accommodated. When we complained that dinner was served over an hour late, and that there was insufficient food to feed our guests when it did arrive, Heirloom blamed bad weather, an unrealistically constructed timeline, a lack of staffing help, and gluttonous guests. None of these complications could have caused the massive errors that we were pointing to. Furthermore, we sought Heirloom’s input on the timeline in question throughout the planning process and had even requested to pay for additional staff to execute the trickiest transition of the evening. This suggestion was declined with assurances that additional staff would not be needed. Unseasonably cold weather made it necessary to move dinner indoors and this change was agreed to by Heirloom two days before the event. In any case, these excuses did nothing to explain the extensive failures about which we had complained. We also found the comments about our guests’ appetites to be unprofessional and inaccurate. We chose not to accept Heirloom’s final offer of an 8% refund because it did not accurately represent the scale of their failure. We strongly discourage others from hiring Heirloom for their own events.
