We had friends visiting from out of town and we frequently take out of town guests to Helen Back. However, our last trip was anything but enjoyable. We arrived and there was a moderate amount of patrons seated on the deck area. Most had already received their food and were enjoying conversation. As we walked by the bar, the bartender told us to take a seat anywhere. We sat down and waited about 15 minutes before one of us walked back up to the bar and asked the bartender if she could send a server to take our order. We waited about another 10 minutes, and I went back to the bar and asked for menus, again prompting the bartender for service. After another 10 minutes, still no server. After waiting 35 minutes, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. It's not surprising in a beach town, since most restaurants don't have to have good service to stay in business, but it was certainly disappointing! Chris, I'm sorry but I don't think we can continue to recommend your restaurant to our visitors

Great place to stop by. And just a heads up for all the first timers, if after a while someone hasn't come to check on you (given you menus) just let someone know you're there. It's a great atmosphere with great service. Give it a chance before you just leave when it takes some time to be waited on. (Slim chance that you'll be waiting) amazing pizza, definitely try the nachos! Awesome chill setting

This place has been a staple of the island for years. Pretty cool dockside bar with some of the best pizza the area has to offer (Probably 2nd or 3rd in my opinion). The bar itself is a bit dated, however I have always enjoyed myself here. Definitely worth a stop if you are visiting the area. If you are a local you already know!

The pizza was great. However, the service was the worst I've experienced in a very long time. I came with a party of 6, and it took 10-15 minutes for ANYONE to acknowledge our presence and ask for our drink order. I could be more understanding if it were packed, but it wasn't. The food took entirely too long to come to our table. Overall unimpressed.

The name is correct! By the time you finally get service you feel as if youve been to Hell and back! We sat for more than an hour and no one ever came to our table. We then approached the manager and he explained that he was having trouble with his staff. Nonetheless, even he did not take our order. We left and ended up at AJ's next door and the service was SPECTACULAR as well as the food and live entertainment!!
