In fact Hempstead Theater is the 2nd oldest business in Hempstead. Our present location was built back in 1978 when 35mm film was still the standard until our conversion to digital and surround sound in September 2014.
Here at our little gem, we strive to bring service with a smile. We strive to keep our hometown look and feel and hope that everyone feels at home and gets great entertainment at an affordable price. We make everything fresh (including popcorn) on a daily basis. We hope that once you experience your movie event here that you will not want to go back to the big theaters.

Days of Operation are Thursday - Sunday (occasionally adding extra days for different movies and events - such as Ladies Night, Couples Night, Holidays and etc.)
Sunday is All Day Matinee Prices (schedule is subject to change at any time)
Current Ticket Prices: $4.00 - Matinee before 6:00 p.m.
$6.00 - at 6:00 p.m. and after.
