This park is beautiful and tucked away enough that you get a great experience with nature. You can definitely hear the road traffic, but the sites are nice and graveled with fire pits and lots of room. No primitive sites, so we paid $33 in late December, but there is great shower and laundry facility. The boardwalk to the beach was stunning, through the dunes. The beach is gorgeous, and since we were there off season it was quiet and cool. Absolutely beautiful park. PS there is a Walmart across the street and firewood for sale in the park.

Excellent State Park! This is one of our favorites. The sites are roomy, there is vegetation between them, the staff is very nice and helpful, the location is fantastic, and the beach is one of the best in Florida! There are also many great restaurants near here, a Walmart across the highway, fun vacation activities nearby, etc. What else is there?!?! The staff has made great progress in cutting back the vegetation, which had started encroaching into the sites. There is a little noise from US-98, but overall this is still up there in the top 10 of all State Parks (#2 in our book)! If you want to stay over a holiday weekend, you'll need to make reservations as soon as the books open (11 months prior) or you'll never get in.

It's the beach with green sea and white sands, I loved it. The access free is $6 per small vehicles with some limitation on Max passengers but it's good for a family. Also you can do re-entry the same day with the pass. The restrooms are clean and good amount of parking place even for RVs.

It was very peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing and meeting the sand then being pulled back out to sea just to crash again. It is a great place to take your family, but definetly remember to bring sunscreen!

Wonderful place to hangout on the beach if in Destin. It's worth it to pay. Parking is a ease, clean restrooms and of course beautiful beaches. We always come here with the family.
