Absolutely the best RV site we have ever stayed in. Very private. The beach is amazing. Gorgeous and scenic. We longed to have been able to stay longer, but we could only get these 2 days for reservations. It's just too hard to get into. We can't wait to come back.
I live across the street from Henderson Park and as such I go there just about every morning and walk the beach I get Early Access so I get to see the Moon Over the beach and I get to see some really great sun rises and some sunsets. This is a wonderfully managed State Park I particularly like Alex who always has a smile on his face. If you can get an RV campsite here you will not be disappointed. However, the campground beach access boardwalk will be closed for repairs from September 2021 through March 2022. Still, it's spectacular and the next state park that you'd should try if you like being on the beach would be Topsail which is about 12 miles down the road but Henderson is easier and a much better day use Park. Topsail which is further down you have to take a tram to get to the beach and I prefer being able to park and walk right over at Henderson
We couldn’t believe we’ve just driven past this beautiful place dozens of times. We got there before 11am on a Saturday and it was very quiet. The beach was beautiful and we felt like we had it to ourselves for a while. The restroom and picnic facilities were very well kept. Definitely worth the six dollars for parking. We will be back.
Such a beautiful beach! It’s very clean and the water is BREATH TAKING. So blue and clear. It was our first time in Florida and I had looked up this beach. A must when you’re in the Destin area. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back on our future trips to Florida.
Beach is clean and it was pretty peaceful. We walked the nature trail in the dunes. Didn't get to get in the water because of a lot of rip tides going on, it had pretty much been raining the whole weekend but we caught a pretty nice Sunday afternoon when it cleared up. Pavillions are there, looks like decent size for a get together right on the beach. Restrooms are decent, I'm just glad there were some close.
It is so cheap to get in and the beach is amazing. The water is super clean and clear. We stopped at a different beach up the way and the water was full of algae. Not here. Just beautiful. They have outdoor shower to rinse off, and they have ice by the front office in case you forgot to bring your own, which is great. Absolutely worth it!!
Great place to get your toes sandy and wet. The pavilions have a bathhouse and showers outside for your body and feet. The beach access is ramped. Bathrooms were clean and the pavilions have tables and shade for picnics and those who need to be out of direct sunlight. Camping areas offer 60 sites some pull throughs and a dumping station.
Beautiful state park with white sands dunes that look like snow covered hills. We went for a new year's hike and enjoyed it very much. The nature trail is very gentle and anyone can complete it in less than an hour. We liked the information labels for some trees
The place is so beautiful at sunset. I clicked so many photos. I visited this place twice day + evening. They charge $3 per person, per day. Re-entry is also allowed for the same day. Washrooms were closed that time.
Great beach! We had a blast, not really crowded, clean waters, white soft sand!, clean public restrooms, we paid 6 dollars to enter for a family of 6, but they charge less depending on how many people are in the car. You can bring a cooler and food! We will go back again!Playground: NoPublic restrooms: YesOff-leash dog area: NoPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: Yes
