I have been to Hennessey Funeral Home numerous times throughout the years for family and friends' funerals. The staff are friendly and helpful to the loved ones of the late relatives.

Take your business to Community Cremations! If you are looking for a place that has compassion versus the need to make a quick buck, do not send your loved one to Hennessey Funeral Home! The minute my father's body arrived at the funeral home, the director Ashley, immediately tried to charge us a $300 viewing rate. I was completely baffled--but fortunate that I had already got to spend time with my dear father and say my goodbyes.  She tried to tell us it was due to sanitation---tacky.  It really felt like she was working for a commission rate. The face of your business should not be ran by someone who is eager to profit off of your grief. Hennessey needs to re-evaluate her position, and perhaps retrain her. It is unacceptable to allow someone to treat their customers like that at such a sensitive time. You never realize the hidden costs that come in to play when a loved one passes, but it is all about presentation, class and compassion. We ended up requesting that he was to be transferred to Community Cremations, and there they handled my father's affairs delicately and compassionately.
