A manager lectured me when I failed to correct a server who brought out the wrong steak.  A steakhouse with decent steak and trimmings at normal prices does not warrant attention unless it excels at atmosphere or service, and while the cozy, rustic atmosphere of this Hereford House is top of the chain, the service experience brought it down.

Great wait staff and the food is Grade A. My steak was grilled to perfection and the flavor was tremendous and the carrot cake dessert was the best. I will definitely be going back soon.

The service was wonderful! On the plus side, the streak was great and my hubby had a burger and steakhouse fries. Burger was perfect and steakhouse fries are awesome and piping hot.  Worth mentioning, we had the buffalo wings appetizer and they are amazing. Not your average basic came prepackaged wings here. They make them by hand with house made buffalo sauce. 
The bad? My sides were sub par. I ordered baked potato and broccoli.  The baked potato tasted leftover, not fresh baked. The broccoli was undercooked ( and i like my veggies a little undercooked but not this much) And the bathroom had one stall that definitely needed attention although the rest of the bathroom was clean and tidy.

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because our waiter was great. Otherwise, food was subpar, and for sure not worth the price. (Could have had a much better meal for less than half the cost) Within 10 minutes of eating a member of our party became violently ill with some type of food poisoning. Definitely not returning.

Consistently good food and service. Happy hour is especially reasonably priced but only available in the bar area.
