Educating The Public About Montgomery County's Rich History! 1506 I-45 North (Inside Candy Cane Park), Conroe, Tx. 77301
We hold Pioneer Camp in July for children 8-11 years of age. It is held the first Monday after July 4th of each year. Registration begins in mid-May and the fee is $40.00. Choose one session from the four sessions available - they are duplicates of one another. The children saw logs, drill holes, brand leather, one-room schoolhouse churn butter and so much more. Call us at 936-539-6873 for more information. Registration is on a first come first serve.
We apply for grants from different entities throughout the year. We have been able to refinish the original wood flooring, paint the interior, repair the outdoor exhibits, construct display cabinets for our donations from the public, install an audio and surveillance system, install new outdoor signage and more!
