Heritage Park is a fantastic spot that truly brings history to life in a way that appeals to all ages. The attention to detail in the historical buildings and exhibits is incredible, offering visitors a genuine glimpse into the past. Walking through the park feels like stepping back in time, with staff and volunteers dressed in period costumes and eager to share the rich history of each area. The buildings, from the old schoolhouse to the general store, are well-preserved and full of artifacts that provide an immersive experience. One of the highlights was the train ride, which is perfect for families and anyone who loves a bit of adventure. It gives a scenic view of the park and is a fun, relaxing way to see the surroundings. The park also has a great selection of eateries and places to relax, and the food options are surprisingly varied for a historical site. The only downside was that it can get crowded, especially on weekends, making some exhibits feel a bit rushed. Additionally, some areas could use clearer signage to help visitors navigate the large grounds. Overall, Heritage Park is well worth a visit for history enthusiasts and families alike, providing a day full of learning and fun. It’s a place you’ll want to revisit to catch everything you might have missed the first time! Playground: Yes Restrooms: Yes Dog-friendliness: Yes Picnic area: Yes
First time coming to this park. When we drove up to the parking lot, it looked a bit bare. This is quite a large park. Several pavilion areas with tables for large groups. Extremely large field for activities and games. There a bridge that goes over a running creek. Right now the creek is perfect to get wet and splash around in. The main playground has some different climbing features on and is wood not the typical plastic. The main playground is on Astro turf which I’m Not a huge fan on incase kids fall, it’s harder on them. The main playground is kinda a hike up to so not all kids and abilities may be able to play on some of the equipment. The small playground is fenced off which is nice and has wood chips. An enclosed basketball court is off to the side and has one basketball hoop lowered for smaller kids which is nice. The bathrooms were very clean. Benches placed throughout the park for watching kids. I did love that lots of large trees were around for shade especially when it gets hotel overall great park, could have some more accessibility to cover all kids needs. Playground: Larger playground has Astro turf on it and lots of things to climb on. The main playgroup is built on a slope. Swing area. Also playground for smaller kids with wood chips. Restrooms: Very clean. Two up top, and some near the pavilions. Picnic area: 3 large pavilion area with tables to eat at. Small table in the shade for a picnic.
Such a nice park with a fun stream winding through the whole thing, paths to meander through, and a few different playgrounds all in the same cluster. The playground with the wood chips has some accessible swings. I love how they have a shade umbrella for the metal slide, but the bottom of the long metal tube slide also needs one. It's unfortunate that they chose AstroTurf for one section of the playground, because it gets very hot on your feet. There's a set of bathrooms, drinking fountains, and a basketball court on the highest point, and a brand-new pavilion with a stage and some hilly audience grass downhill on the other side of the playgrounds. The Utah County Flute Choir, of which I am a part, was the first group to perform there for the Cedar Hills Family Days yesterday. There are also pavilions with tables for picnicking.
Construction- their redoing the park and have a good kid area and big kid area currently. Basketball court is complete. Their still working on the amphitheater area. 8/27/23 There is a new bathroom at the top with water fountains. Restrooms: 2 single restrooms
This newly remodeled park is fantastic for any groups, any size and for any event. They also have two pavilions. It's nestled in the city where very few can find it, so that makes it perfect for relaxing. Playground: Take your kids to try this fun playground. I see all kinds of kids enjoying this fun little adventure because it's set into a hill. And the hill has the green turf and so even in the fall when the grass starts dying, the green turf is still green. And who doesn't love a long slide.
Wow, this park is really cool! Right now, they're doing construction on it to turn it into a wooden obstacle course. How awesome is that? And guess what? They're also adding a kids area! When it's all done, this park is going to be super awesome. Trust me, you won't want to miss it!
A stream the kids can actually play in, a big, fun playground with swings, slides, climbing structures, small sports court, lots of picnic tables with electricity nearby, old growth trees provide plenty of shade near the creek. Pretty fun place for pretty much everyone. The playground is on a relatively steep hill, so it may not be accessible to people with mobility issues.
This is a super fun park! They have nice pavillions and an awesome playground, including a bunch of unique climbing structures, a big hill and a creek. It's super fun for kids and older kids!
A nice little park with some great trails, a fun playground, and lots of great green spaces. The newly expanded playground is amazing. It has lots of wooden structures, great climbing areas, and a very nice and soft ground. An amazing place to visit.
We love this park. They seem to update it and take care of it. In the past couple of years they added another play area. Make sure to bring swimsuits/clothes you don't mind your kids getting dirty if you think they'll want to play in the stream Playground: They have one playground area across the stream with areas for different age groups. They also have an older play area on the south end of the park. Picnic area: There are a few different pavilions and various picnic tables around the park.
